It's only Week 3 of the NFL season and there already have been some surprising results, not to mention a ton of significant injuries. Several teams are already digging deep into their depth chart because of these injuries, so it will be interesting to see how some respond as fans look forward to several intriguing matchups on tap.
The action begins Thursday night when Miami and Jacksonville go head-to-head, giving these two franchises a chance to show which one is further along in their rebuild in primetime. Then on Sunday, a slate full of non-divisional pairings finds the Rams in Buffalo to take on the Bills as 2-0 teams square off while the Raiders, coming off of their big victory on Monday night against New Orleans, face the Patriots, who came up a few yards short of beating Seattle last Sunday night.
Elsewhere, Houston is in Pittsburgh while the Titans and Vikings clash in Minneapolis, and battered San Francisco returns to MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets. The late Sunday afternoon games have Tom Brady back in Denver, but this time as a Buccaneer to battle the banged-up Broncos; Arizona looking to improve to 3-0 against winless Detroit; and the Cowboys and Seahawks renewing acquaintances at CenturyLink Field.
On "Sunday Night Football," the Saints return home looking to bounce back against a Packers team that is averaging 43 points per game through the first two. But the game everyone is looking forward to is Kansas City vs. Baltimore on "Monday Night Football" as the past two league MVPs are set to go head-to-head.
