NFL Predictions: Week 7 Picks for Every Game
Six weeks into the NFL season and not only is there just one undefeated team (Arizona), nearly half of the league currently has a losing record. There are 12 teams with a winning mark thus far, seven at .500 (3-3), and 13 below the break-even point.
Of course, there are still 12 weeks of the season to go and the expanded, 17-game schedule guarantees there will be no .500 teams by the end, unless there's a tie. Even with six teams on bye in Week 7, expect a fair amount of shifting in the standings.
For starters, "Thursday Night Football" between Denver and Cleveland features a pair of 3-3 teams looking to end losing streaks. The Browns' bigger concern is their health, as the team is really beat up and losing their last two outings only adds to the pain they're currently feeling.
On Sunday, the most intriguing early matchup is the battle for first place in the AFC North between Cincinnati and Baltimore. Can the upstart Bengals put an end to the Ravens' five-game winning streak? Elsewhere, Kansas City looks to claim its first winning streak against a Tennessee team coming off of a huge win at home on Monday night over Buffalo.

The theme for the late-afternoon window is "revenge." Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff will each see plenty of familiar faces on the other sideline when the Rams host the Lions, while J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins will face their former team when the undefeated Cardinals take on the Texans, who have one-time Arizona RB David Johnson. The defending Super Bowl champs even get in on the theme as Tampa Bay gets another shot at Chicago, this time at home, after the Bears beat Tom Brady's Buccaneers 20-19 in Week 5 last season.
In prime time, Indianapolis makes the rare trip to San Francisco (where the Colts' DeForest Bucker will face his former team, so more "revenge" theater) for "Sunday Night Football" while Week 7 concludes with New Orleans in the Pacific Northwest to face Seattle on "Monday Night Football." No significant "revenge" factor here and we won't see Drew Brees or Russell Wilson either, as fans will have to settle for Jameis Winston vs. Geno Smith.
