A significant trade rumor involving the New England Patriots is making the rounds on social media this Tuesday evening.
Per a report, the Patriots are receiving trade calls for wide receiver Nelson Agholor.
The Patriots will likely be sellers ahead of the trade deadline due to their 3-4 start to the 2022 season in a log-jammed AFC East division.
Agholor's contract with the Pats, meanwhile, expires at the end of this season.
"Teams are calling the #Patriots about WR Nelson Agholor, sources tell @theScore. Still just 29, the former 1st-round pick signed a two-year, $26M deal with NE in 2021 that expires after this season. Agholor has 30 career receiving TDs," said Jordan Schultz.
If the Patriots want to sell, Agholor is the likely trade target. Teams clearly see the writing is on the wall here.
Let's take a look at what NFL fans are saying about this trade rumor involving New England:
"If we get anything even remotely valuable for him, I’d be stunned," one fan wrote.
"Not the first time Agholor's name has come up in trade rumors," said another fan.
"The Chargers should be in on this. Legit 4.4 guy. Idc if he had a high drop rate in Philly," a fan said.
The trade deadline strikes Nov. 1. Expect the Pats to get busy before then.
