NFL World Reacts To Surprising Matthew Stafford News

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford

It's been three days since Matthew Stafford and the Rams suffered a devastating late-game defeat to Tom Brady and the Bucs. And that's not even the worst news of the week in Los Angeles.

It's been three days since the tough loss for the Rams, who are now 1-4 over their last five games. To get back on track, the NFC West franchise needs to beat the Cardinals this Sunday.

Unfortunately, the Rams may have to try and do so without their starting quarterback. Sean McVay announced this Wednesday afternoon that quarterback Matthew Stafford is in concussion protocol.

A stunning development in Los Angeles for a team in desperate need of a victory this weekend.

"The @RamsNFL are in TROUBLE. They can’t protect the QB as they have given up the 3rd MOST SACKS in the NFL. They can’t run the ball with the 31st RANKED RUSHING ATTACK and Matthew Stafford has the same number of TDs and Ints. I see why Jalen Ramsey was upset after the game," said Robert Griffin III.

If Stafford can't give it a go the Rams will turn to John Wolford. Funny enough, he beat the Cardinals in a must-win game for Los Angeles during the 2020-21 season.

"If Matthew Stafford is unable to go, John Wolford would be next in line to start against the Cardinals. Wolford famously beat Kingsbury and Arizona in a must-win game back in Week 17, 2020-21," said Johnny Venerable.

Hopefully Matthew Stafford can get back in the mix for the Rams soon. They certainly need him.
