Fans of the Green Bay Packers won't like what they see on the injury report Wednesday.
After getting hit on the final play last Sunday in a 27-22 loss to the New York Giants, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is missing today's practice with a thumb injury.
"Packers’ HC Matt LaFleur told reporters that QB Aaron Rodgers will not practice today due to a thumb injury, but he added 'we don't have much concern as far as gameday'," ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday.
As Schefter noted, Packers' coach Matt LaFleur doesn't seem to think the ailment will prevent Rodgers from suiting up Sunday against the Jets.
After losing to the Giants in Week 5, the Packers fell to 3-2 and trail the Minnesota Vikings by one game in the NFC North.
Rodgers is averaging just over 230 yards passing per game this season, which, if continued, would be the lowest mark of his career since taking over starting quarterback duties in 2008.
Green Bay surely hopes Rodgers can return to health and form, as a matchup with the improving 3-2 New York Jets looms this weekend.
