Patrick Mahomes Sends Clear Message On Bills Quarterback Josh Allen

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs and Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are widely considered two of the best quarterbacks in football.

On Sunday, NFL fans will get to see the two square off for the first time since last year's AFC divisional round, where Mahomes secured a comeback win with only 13 seconds left in the game.

While speaking to the media Wednesday, the Kansas City quarterback had nothing but positivity to share when talking about his AFC rival Allen.

"Yeah, when you go up against the other great quarterbacks in the league, you always want to win. You always want to compete," Mahomes told the media Wednesday. "That’s a great football team — still a great football team — and we know it’ll come down to the wire every single time that we play them... I have a ton of respect for him the player and person that he [Allen] is.”

Mahomes and Allen both rank among the top quarterbacks in the NFL this season based on a flurry of metrics.

The Bills quarterback leads the league in passing yards (1,651), while Mahomes is number one in passing touchdowns (15).

Additionally, both Allen and Mahomes are tied for the league lead in QBR (78.5) among starters who have played all five games this season.

With both teams sitting at 4-1 and looking for an early edge in the AFC home field advantage race, it's very likely NFL fans see another instant classic with Bills-Chiefs this Sunday.
