Predictions for Every NFL Game in Week 1

NFL Picks: Tom Brady

NFL Picks: Tom Brady

NFL Picks: Cowboys

College football may have set a high bar following a jam-packed weekend that featured a little bit of everything (and then some), but it’s now the NFL’s turn in the spotlight and Athlon Sports' experts are ready with their picks for every NFL game on the Week 1 slate. The 2017 regular season is set to kick off with defending Super Bowl champion New England hosting Kansas City on Thursday night.

Other Week 1 highlights on the schedule include a pair of AFC North and NFC East divisional matchups, Seattle and Green Bay facing off at Lambeau Field, and Adrian Peterson making his New Orleans debut back in Minnesota on “Monday Night Football.” Five head coaches – Vance Joseph (Denver), Anthony Lynn (Los Angeles Chargers), Doug McDermott (Buffalo), Sean McVay (Washington), and Kyle Shanahan (San Francisco) – also will be making their debuts.

Houston also will host Jacksonville in what’s sure to be an emotional homecoming for the Texans and their fans in the wake of Hurricane Harvey’s devastation. However, the pending threat of Hurricane Irma to Florida has moved the scheduled opener between Tampa Bay and Miami to Week 11, which was previously both teams’ bye week.

Lastly, even though Ezekiel Elliott’s six-game suspension was upheld by an arbitrator he will be eligible to play for Dallas on Sunday night. Meanwhile Odell Beckham’s availability for New York is less certain but it’s still Giants vs. Cowboys in primetime, right?

So which teams will come out on top in every NFL game to open the 2017 season? Athlon's own Rob Doster (AthlonDoster) and John Gworek (JohnGworek), along with contributor Bryan Fischer (BryanDFischer), predict the winners for every game this week:
