It’s only two weeks into the NFL season but it’s fair to say several teams have already made some strong statements. For one, Kansas City looks like a potential contender in the AFC thanks to the explosive play of rookie running back Kareem Hunt.
Baltimore could be a threat to Pittsburgh in the AFC North on the strength of its suffocating defense. Denver may not just be a team to worry about just on that side of the ball as well if Trevor Siemian and C.J. Anderson continue to perform like they did in the 42-17 rout of Dallas. Also, Marshawn Lynch looks really comfortable in a Raiders uniform .
In the NFC, Atlanta showed Green Bay it’s still the team to beat in the conference while both the Packers, aforementioned Cowboys and the Seahawks already have question marks that need to be answered.
So what does Week 3 have in store for us? The Ravens face the Jaguars in London in the first of four games to be played across the pond. Detroit hosts Atlanta in the only matchup of undefeated teams, while a Cleveland-Indianapolis pairing means one of these teams won’t have to worry about the possibility of going 0-16 for much longer.
Other intriguing Week 3 games include rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson leading Houston into Gillette Stadium to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots. Seattle makes a rare trip to Tennessee to face a Titans team that’s hungry for a signature win, while the Giants look to avoid starting 0-3 when they take on the Eagles in Philadelphia. And the slate concludes with Dallas looking to rebound on the road against Arizona.
