Kansas City is the only undefeated team in the league right now while four – Cleveland, Los Angeles Chargers, New York Giants and San Francisco – teams went winless in September. Just like last week when Cincinnati beat the Browns for their first victory of the season, another opportunity presents itself with the Chargers and Giants meeting in MetLife Stadium.
Elsewhere on the docket, Week 5 kicks off with an intriguing Thursday night matchup that has New England in Tampa to take on the Buccaneers. The Patriots are looking up at the first-place Buffalo Bills – yes you read that right – who look to keep it that way when they face the Bengals.
Cleveland will try to snap its record-tying losing run (2-29 over last 31 games) by beating the Jets, and the 49ers will try to get into the win column against the Colts in Indianapolis.
Week 5 also gives us some interesting intra-conference matchups like Carolina vs. Detroit, Jacksonville vs. Pittsburgh, Arizona vs. Philadelphia, Kansas City vs. Houston, and Green Bay vs. Dallas. And the lighter-than-usual slate wraps up on Monday night with No. 2 overall draft pick Mitchell Trubisky making his first career start for Chicago at home against Minnesota.
