And then there was one. Undefeated team that is, with Minnesota the lone remaining NFL team with an unblemished record just five weeks into the season. Both Denver and Philadelphia were handed their first losses on Sunday, the former losing at home to high-flying Atlanta and the latter falling in Detroit.

The Vikings will maintain their position as the NFL’s lone perfect team for at least another week, as Minnesota is on bye. Meanwhile, New England did to Cleveland what everyone was expecting in Tom Brady’s return and now the Patriots get a reeling Cincinnati team at home. The Bengals (2-3) are coming off of a 28-14 loss in Dallas and can ill afford another one to avoid falling even farther behind Pittsburgh (4-1) in the AFC North.

The Cowboys have rattled off four straight wins but will have to beat Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay in Lambeau Field if they want to make it five in a row. The Eagles will look to get back to their winning ways on the road against Washington, which has somewhat quietly won three in a row.

And as for Atlanta, the Falcons can open up even more eyes if they are able to go to the Pacific Northwest and beat Seattle on its own turf (and coming off a bye) this Sunday. Make no mistake, wins over Carolina and Denver in back-to-back weeks is impressive, but to add the Seahawks to that list would be quite the statement for a team that was probably considered a fringe playoff contender, if even that, heading into this season.
