In Week 11, some of the typical top fantasy quarterbacks struggled a bit. In the top five, instead of seeing Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, we saw Jared Goff, Philip Rivers and Kirk Cousins. While that is not the norm, fantasy owners do need to take a hard look at who they are starting compared to who may be on the waiver wire. Cousins is available in over 50 percent of leagues and has been a top-10 fantasy option the past two weeks. He's connected with Adam Thielen again, and if Thielen is healthy (he was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week but should have enough time to be cleared before Sunday), Cousins should actually fare better than his No. 17 ranking this week.
Ben Roethlisberger and Lamar Jackson face off on Thanksgiving night and the matchup has dropped both quarterbacks in the rankings this week. Both are still within the top 12, but just barely. They can be considered QB1s, but know that this has the potential of being a defensive battle. The Steelers and the Ravens both have good defenses, although that edge goes to Pittsburgh. Baltimore is going to be down its top two running backs (PSA: pick up Gus Edwards if he's still available in your league), which means Jackson may end up throwing the ball more (hopefully to Marquise Brown?), but fantasy owners should just temper expectations with both quarterbacks.
