In Week 13, both Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield threw for four touchdowns, much to the delight of the fantasy owners who started them. Derek Carr threw for three and ran one in himself in the Raiders' ugly win against the New York Jets. While these three quarterbacks may not have been universally started (Allen has been a consistent QB1, but the other two haven't been started often), at this point of the season, it is important to look at matchups, especially recent ones. Allen threw his touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers; Alex Smith faces them in Week 14 and is ranked No. 30 (it's hard to imagine Smith having the same success).
Mayfield faced the Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars face them in Week 14. If Mike Glennon is still the starter, he may fare well, especially if he gets some of his injured receivers back. He's ranked No. 31. If Gardner Minshew was to return, he would be ranked as a QB2. The matchup to look at for fantasy owners is the one between the Jets and the Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson gets to face the Jets, hopefully improving on his Week 13 numbers. The Seahawks also allow plenty of fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, moving Sam Darnold up the rankings to No. 27.
