While Week 1 may not have had many huge quarterback performances for fantasy owners to relish in, Week 2 certainly did. Russell Wilson, Dak Prescott, and Josh Allen all likely helped their fantasy teams get a victory in Week 2. These three quarterbacks are ranked Nos. 3, 4, and 5 respectively for Week 3. All have deemed themselves worthy of being started as a QB1, regardless of matchup.
Patrick Mahomes dropped to No. 6 this week (he faces Baltimore) and Cam Newton has crept his way into the top 10. In Week 2, Newton threw for 397 yards, one touchdown pass, one interception, two rushing touchdowns, and 47 rushing yards. He almost won the game for the Patriots at the end as he (predictably) tried to run in his third touchdown of the day. However, it's clear that Newton is healthy and while he's healthy, he's a borderline QB1, depending on matchup. The Patriots play the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3, and Newton should be started with confidence.
