The Las Vegas Raiders' nightmare of a season added an ugly new chapter just moments ago. The team is placing star tight end Darren Waller on the injured reserve.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Waller recently aggravated his hamstring injury. The Raiders will place him on the injured reserve as a result.

The Las Vegas medical staff believes four weeks on the injured reserve gives Waller the necessary time to get healthy and finish the season with the team.

In other words, the Raiders aren't looking at this as a season-ender for the talented tight end.

"Raiders are placing TE Darren Waller on injured reserve, per source. Waller aggravated his hamstring injury and the team believes this will give him four weeks to get it healthy and come back to finish the season," said ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Waller has 16 catches and 175 yards with one touchdown for the Raiders this season.

The Raiders, meanwhile, sit at 2-6 on the season. They are in last place in the AFC West.
