Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - It's been a rough offseason for Ravens running backs.
Ravens rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro was arrested in Virginia over the weekend for breaking a window in a taxi cab, according to the Baltimore Sun.
According to the paper, which cites a report from the Williamsburg Police Department, the arresting officer overheard loud cursing from a group getting out of a cab at roughly 1:15 a.m. ET Saturday morning.
The cab driver told the officer that Taliaferro, the Ravens' 2014 fourth-round pick out of Coastal Carolina, broke a window in his car. Taliaferro left the scene, but was located nearby and charged with being drunk in public and destruction of property.
Both are misdemeanor charges.
Prior to the weekend, Ravens running back Ray Rice spoke publicly for the first time since his arrest for an alleged assault on his then-fiancee. The Atlantic County (N.J.) prosecutor's office agreed to dismiss the case, provided Rice completes a pretrial intervention program.
Rice still faces a possible suspension by the NFL if found to have violated the league's personal conduct policy. Commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to make a decision on the case.
