Report: SEC Quarterback Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

We disturbing news out of the University of Florida football program this Wednesday. 

Jalen Kitna, Florida Gators quarterback and son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, has been arrested on child pornography charges. 

Authorities have reportedly searched Jalen's apartment with cause. They uncovered evidence of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. 

The University of Florida has reportedly suspended Jalen. 

"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the news involving Jalen Kitna," the university said in a statement to Ross Dellenger. "These are extremely serious charges and the University of Florida and the UAA have zero tolerance for such behavior. 

"Jalen has been suspended indefinitely from the football program."

Cops claim as part of the search warrant, Kitna's electronic devices were seized -- and they say that an ensuing search revealed the Florida Gators football player was in possession of three additional images of child sexual abuse material. They arrested him and booked him on five charges -- two counts of distribution of child exploitation material and three counts of possession of child pornography -- a short time later.

Jalen Kitna redshirted his first year with the Florida football team. This season he appeared in three games and has 181 yards through the air and one touchdown.
