Former NFL player Richard Sherman should be able to recognize what makes an NFL contender.
After all, the longtime cornerback won one Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks and played in two others, one for the Seahawks and one as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
While most around the NFL might consider Buffalo Bills the favorite to win Super Bowl LVII, Sherman has dubbed another team the best in the NFL through eight weeks.
Sherman picked the Philadelphia Eagles, the league's only undefeated team, for the top spot in his power rankings.
The Eagles are off to a 7-0 start. They rank third in the NFL in scoring offense and fourth in defense. Plus, they added Pro Bowl edge rusher Robert Quinn from the Chicago Bears prior to the NFL trade deadline.
Sherman has the Bills second. While the Bills have one loss, they rank first in the NFL in scoring defense and second in offense, and quarterback Josh Allen looks like the MVP frontrunner.
The Bills are followed by the 5-2 Kansas City Chiefs. The 6-1 Minnesota Vikings and 6-2 Dallas Cowboys round out Sherman's top five.
