Robert Griffin III Has Major Free Agent Suggestion For The Packers

After suffering a right ankle sprain in Green Bay's 27-10 loss to the Jets last week, Randall Cobb is likely to miss several games.

To fill in for the injured Cobb, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III thinks the Packers should target Odell Beckham Jr. to fill the void in their receiving core.

"With Randall Cobb being out for a few weeks the @packers should sign Odell Beckham Jr. Their offense is sputtering, needs some juice and he would certainly provide the squeeze @obj," Griffin tweeted Wednesday morning.

Cobb, the second-leading receiver for the Packers this season, has 18 receptions for 257 yards in 2022.

While Beckham is likely sidelined until at least mid-November, Green Bay might benefit from another veteran presence in the locker room.

Even if he isn't able to see the field immediately, the Packers' young core of pass catchers including Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson could certainly learn from the three-time Pro Bowl receiver.

Beckham only caught 44 passes in the regular season last year, but turned it on in the playoffs for the Rams. He was arguably the catalyst for Los Angeles' Super Bowl run, catching 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns in four postseason games.
