Roger Goodell is never going to live this down. Well, this is just another thing he won't be able to live down.
During the NFL Draft, the commissioner butchered Marcus Mariota's name with the second pick announcement. A practice run wouldn't have killed you, commish.
Though Mariota could barely hear Goodell over the cheering in Hawaii, he said the commissioner made things right about an hour later when he called and apologized to the Titans rookie.
"Everyone was cheering so loud that I wasn't able to actually hear it," Mariota told ESPN. "He gave me a call probably half an hour later. He apologized, and I'm like, 'I have no idea what you're talking about.' But he was really apologetic and I truly respect that for sure."
