The San Francisco 49ers are adding some wide receiver depth following the team's bye week.
According to multiple reports, the Niners are signing former Falcons wide receiver Tajae Sharpe to their practice squad.
Last season, Sharpe caught 25 passes for 230 yards in Atlanta. He's clearly capable of making an impact for NFL offenses across the League.
Sharpe will begin his 49ers' tenure on the practice squad with a chance to make the active roster.
"#49ers are signing WR Tajae Sharpe to their practice squad, source says. The sixth-year veteran, who had 25 catches for the #Falcons last season, worked out for the Niners last week," said Mike Garafolo.
Sharpe worked out for the 49ers just last week. The NFC West franchise clearly likes what it saw from the former Falcon.
The 49ers, meanwhile, are 4-4 coming out of their bye week. They're second in the NFC West behind the 6-3 Seattle Seahawks.
The Niners will try and get one game above .500 this Sunday vs. Justin Herbert and the Chargers.
