The San Francisco 49ers just might have a chance to have back-to-back primetime games when they return from their bye week.

According to Steve Berman of The Athletic, sources tell him that "there's a strong chance the 49ers' upcoming game in Los Angeles against the Rams will be flexed to 'Sunday Night Football' on NBC,."

If the NFL has any sense to them, then they will easily flex the 49ers versus Rams into their primetime Sunday night slot. The original game that is slated for that night is the Pittsburgh Steelers who are 0-3 versus the Los Angeles Chargers who are 1-2. I'm sure that is a matchup that every fan across the nation is dying to see.....

I would definitely bet that the 49ers get swapped out for Sunday night. It's just the obvious move that these two teams are significantly better and it is a divisional game. Steelers and Chargers have no animosity with each other.

At least for the 49ers and Rams, the 49ers are trying to knock off the Rams from their throne. The headlines would be through the roof, whereas the Steelers and Chargers would put us to sleep.

This would be a great sign that the San Francisco 49ers are on the rise. That people in the nation want to watch this football team. I mean it's only fair that all of us in the bay area should allow the other fan bases to get a glimpse of this team

Keep your eyes peeled for any information out there on this game being flexed. We'll have any updated information for you here at Sports Illustrated 49er Maven.
