Sean McDemott Reveals When He'll Know More About Josh Allen's Injury

On the final drive during Buffalo's 20-17 loss to the Jets Sunday, Bills' quarterback Josh Allen appeared to be in pain after taking a shot to his right elbow.

While NFL insider Ian Rapoport announced earlier today that the injury will likely keep Allen from practicing fully this week, Bills' head coach Sean McDermott also spoke to reporters this afternoon about Allen's situation.

According to McDermott, the Bills will "know more tomorrow morning" but aren't counting out Allen for Sunday's game against Minnesota.

"Sean McDermott says they’re still evaluating Josh Allen’s elbow injury. 'I’ll know more tomorrow morning.' Does mention Josh’s competitiveness… 'I would never count him out'," Mike Giardi tweeted Monday.

While it doesn't appear that Allen's injury is overly concerning to Buffalo, his availability during practice this week will likely paint a better picture of the quarterback's overall health.

Despite starting the 2022 season with several strong outings, Allen has struggled in his past two games under center for Buffalo.

Over the last two weeks against Green Bay and the New York Jets, Allen has completed just over 52% of his passes and has thrown two touchdowns compared to four interceptions.

Allen's status this week will certainly be worth monitoring as the Bills prepare for their Week 10 matchup with Minnesota.
