WWE Superstar Triple H Delivers Special Gift to DK Metcalf on Monday Night Raw

The WWE and the world of professional wrestling in general have been doing collaborations and crossovers with professional athletes for decades now.

We can go back as far as WrestleMania XI where New York Giants legend and NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor not only wrestled the late Bam Bam Bigelow, but the match served as the main event.

There was also that famously ridiculous moment where Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman skipped practice during the 1998 NBA Finals in favor of appearing on WCW Nitro.

Fast forward to the latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw and the love is still very much there, this time with the Seattle Seahawks in the main frame.

Check it out:

Yes, that's longtime superstar Triple H—now officially under the role of Chief Content Officer for the WWE—gifting stud wide receiver DK Metcalf with a Seahawks branded WWE Championship belt.

"What's up, man," said the 14-time world champion. "Good to see you ... I got you a little gift. You got to have these now, man."

The ear-to-ear smile on Metcalf's face seen throughout the exchange kind of says it all.

Seattle Seahawks WR DK Metcalf.

Keep in mind, the Seahawks star is just 26 years old, which means the introduction of "D-Generation X"—an incredibly popular wrestling faction created by Triple H and Shawn Michaels in 1997—began their hilarious and somewhat controversial antics when Metcalf was born.

So one can only imagine how cool it probably was for him to meet someone like Triple H, who was still in his prime well into Metcalf's teenage years.

In case anyone might be wondering why Metcalf would be hanging around backstage on Monday Night Raw, he wasn't exactly "pulling a Rodman" here.

The live show was conveniently being held at the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington.

For fans of the Seahawks, or any other NFL team for that matter, who find themselves intrigued by the shiny gold gift Triple H handed to Metcalf, they're in luck because these belts are readily available for purchase in both the WWE Shop and the NFL Shop.

The only stopping point might be that they happen to retail for a whopping $549.99.

Despite the hefty price, the belts appear to be extremely well-crafted and absolutely fit the bill for diehard fans of the NFL and wrestling nostalgia.
