The Pittsburgh Steelers made a couple of roster decisions this Thursday afternoon. The AFC North franchise has waived a wide receiver to make room for another player at the same position.
Pittsburgh has waived second-year wide receiver Javon McKinley. The former Notre Dame wide receiver signed with the Steelers just 10 days ago.
In a resulting move, the team has signed Christian Blake to the 90-man roster. He'll have a chance to compete for a final roster spot, but will have to make some noise during the preseason to do so.
"We have signed WR Christian Blake and waived/injured WR Javon McKinley," the team announced.
The Steelers begin their preseason schedule this Saturday afternoon against the Seattle Seahawks. It's their first of three preseason games, which wrap up on Aug. 28.
