The Tennessee Titans are currently making preparations for the fast-approaching 2022 season. Unfortunately, the AFC South franchise suffered a significant setback in practice this week. Veteran pass-rusher Harold Landry is going to miss the year with a significant injury.

Landry reportedly suffered a torn ACL during Wednesday's practice. The Titans are expected to place Landry on the season-ending injured reserve. His year is over before it even begins.

A significant setback for Landry, who registered a career-high 12 sacks in 2021.

"A loss before the season even begins: Titans’ pass rusher Harold Landry tore his ACL during practice Wednesday, per source," said ESPN's Adam Schefter.

A significant development out in Tennessee, which relies so heavily on dominant play in the trenches. Harold Landry will be out for the year with a torn ACL. In four years at Tennessee, Landry has 256 tackles and 31 sacks. Last season alone he totaled 75 tackles and 12 sacks.

The Titans won't be able to replace Landry's significant production. But there's still enough talent across the board for this Tennessee defense to be a solid unit.
