Tom Brady has once again found himself involved in an NFL controversy.
Brady was the beneficiary of a questionable roughing the passer penalty in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 21-15 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The flag was one of two calls that have sparked outrage across the NFL this week.
Brady's comments about the penalty have only added gasoline to the fire.
Speaking to reporters Thursday, Brady was trying to explain that questionable officiating is part of life in the NFL. To prove his point, he claimed that he's lost Super Bowls because of bad calls.
"Tom Brady: 'I've lost Super Bowls because I thought (the referees) missed a call.'" -- Chris Mason
Brady's comment, of course, has been received by some fans as excuse-making for his three Super Bowl losses. Brady has also won six titles.
Brady also joked that other players should just "complain to the refs like I do" when a call doesn't go his way, which resulted in some blowback on social media, as well.
