Video: Tua Tagovailoa Appears To Get Knocked Unconscious After Being Thrown To Turf

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

A terrifying situation just occurred in tonight's Dolphins vs. Bengals game in Cincinnati.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appeared to get knocked unconcious after being thrown to the turf by a Bengals defender in the second quarter.

His head hit the turf and moments later Tagovailoa's eyes were closed and he held his hands in a fencing position. Fencing is a neurological response to head trauma.

"The fencing response is an immediate “no-go” symptom under leagues concussion protocols. The NFL-NFLPA are already investigating how the concussion protocol was handled last week, after Tua staggered (another, in theory, no-go symptom)," said Lindsay Jones.

It's a terrifying situation out in Cincinnati.

We send our thoughts and prayers out to Tua Tagovailoa.

What an awful situation.
