The Washington Commanders are making several roster cuts to get down to 85 players this Tuesday afternoon. One of those cuts is defensive veteran De'Vante Bausby.
The Commanders announced just moments ago that they've released 29-year-old cornerback De'Vante Bausby. They've also cut guard Deion Calhoun. Fullback Alex Armah and tight end Sammis Reyes, meanwhile, have been played on the injured reserve.
"The Washington Commanders announced today that they have made the following roster moves: The Washington Commanders released the following players: CB De'Vante Bausby G Deion Calhoun," the team announced. "The Washington Commanders placed the following players on the Reserve/Injured List: FB Alex Armah TE Sammis Reyes."
De'Vante Bausby has been playing in the NFL since 2016. He's spent time with a number of NFL teams, including but not limited to the Bears, Eagles, Broncos and Cardinals. He has 60 total tackles in his professional football career.
Bausby will now become a free agent. He'll no doubt try and find a landing spot at some point in the near future.
