Commanders Injured All-Pro Cornerback Trending for Return

Washington Commanders aim to snap a three-game skid as All-Pro cornerback Marshon Lattimore prepares to make his season debut with the team.

The Washington Commanders enter Week 13 in need of a turnaround after a frustrating three-game losing streak, including a tough 34-26 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys. With playoff hopes dwindling, the team is looking for a spark to get back on track against the 3-8 Tennessee Titans at Northwest Stadium.

Despite the struggles, rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels continues to shine. Daniels completed 25 of 38 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns against Dallas while adding 74 rushing yards and a score. The offense totaled 411 yards but faltered in critical moments, converting just four of 12 third downs and committing two costly turnovers.

Defensively, Washington struggled to contain the Cowboys’ rushing attack which ranks last in the league, allowing 91 yards on the ground, including 86 yards from running back Rico Dowdle. The Commanders’defense gave up 332 total yards and failed to make stops on crucial downs, a key factor in their recent skid.

However, help may be on the way as All-Pro cornerback Marshon Lattimore practiced with the team for the first time since being acquired from the Saints at the trade deadline. Notable: Lattimore is still listed as limited, but this is a move in the right direction from being listed as DNP since joining the team. Lattimore, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, trending toward a return to the field? That brings much-needed stability to a defense searching for answers.

"Looks like he's about to be on the field with us. That's all we need, especially right now when we are getting into that last stretch of the season," said cornerback Benjamin St. Juste. "We need every piece."

The Commanders have an opportunity to turn the tide against a Titans team struggling for consistency. A win would provide momentum heading into the season’s final stretch and keep Washington’s postseason aspirations alive in a competitive NFC race as it tightens up.
