Tonight's annual Hall of Fame Game to start NFL preseason is currently in a weather delay. The game was supposed to kickoff at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, but "severe weather" in the area has delayed the start.

Fortunately, a new kickoff time has been revealed. Per the NBC broadcast, the Hall of Fame Game has a new kickoff time of 8:40 p.m. ET.

It's all depended on how the weather holds up. But as long as there's no lightning in the nearby area, the start of the 2022 preseason should commence at 8:40 p.m. ET.

"With lightning in the area, the start of the 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders has been delayed due to inclement weather. Kickoff was originally scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Per the NBC broadcast, the earliest start will now be 8:40 p.m. ET," said Nick Shook of NFL.com

The current weather radar in Canton, Ohio suggests the thunderstorms should soon pass, as should the rain. Hopefully that proves true.

Catch the Hall of Fame Game on NBC. Players have just come back onto the field.
