Looking at the Week 10 fantasy injury report and once again, the wide receiver position leads the way in terms of sheer numbers. The targets you need to know about from the early (1 p.m. ET kickoffs) games are listed below, including several that have already been ruled out. Julian Edelman and Willie Snead aren't mentioned, but both are listed as Probable, put in full practices on Friday and are expected to play.
Teams on bye: Atlanta, Indianapolis, San Diego, San Francisco
Alshon Jeffery, WR, Chicago Bears at St. Louis Rams
Questionable – Groin
After a monster Week 9 (10-151-0), Jeffery was on the injury report this week with a groin issue. He missed practice on Thursday but was able to give it a go in a limited fashion on Friday. He should be able to play on Sunday, and will continue to see a ton of targets, especially with Eddie Royal out. The matchup against the Rams is tough, but he's still a WR1 as long as he's active.
Calvin Johnson, WR, Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
Questionable – Ankle
After putting in limited practices coming off the bye week, Johnson sat on Friday, which is a slight cause for concern. He insists he is playing on Sunday, and he is likely a game-time decision. Thankfully for fantasy owners, Johnson plays in the early game, so if he is inactive, owners can find a replacement. If Johnson is active, he's a WR1, but be sure to check before leaving him in your lineup.
Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Probable – Foot
Bryant will likely be on the injury report for the rest of the season as he still is coming off foot surgery. He looked good in Week 9, where he had 104 yards and a leaping touchdown grab. He'll practice on a limited basis and be active and a WR1 on Sundays.
Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens
Questionable – Foot
After missing practice throughout the week and being spotted in a protective boot, Hurns is convinced that he will play on Sunday. It's an early game, so monitor the inactive list, but if Hurns does play, he's a WR2 with upside. He's scored a touchdown in each of the last six games he's played in. While that streak may not continue, it's a great matchup and Hurns shouldn't be benched if active.
James Jones, WR, Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions
Probable – Quadriceps
When a player is added to the injury report mid-week, it's usually not a good sign. However, Jones was able to put in limited practices after suffering the quad injury. The Packers are likely giving the 31-year-old some rest time. He'll be active on Sunday, but after scoring six touchdowns in six games, he's been kept out of the end zone for the past two weeks. It is a good matchup against the Lions, who give up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Jones is a risk/reward WR3.
DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles
Questionable – Foot
Fantasy owners likely aren't starting Parker, and there is no need to rush to pick him up off waivers. But know that he is Questionable and may play this week, which will take some targets away from the other pass catchers. Parker hasn't recorded a catch since Week 3 as he was dealing with injuries to his already surgically-repaired foot.
Vincent Jackson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys
Out – Knee
Jackson will miss his third game in a row with a knee injury. He didn't practice at all this past week, and until he at least starts practicing on a limited basis, fantasy owners should know not to count on him for Sunday. Hang on to him if you can, but look for Mike Evans and possibly tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins(if he's active) to pick up extra targets while VJax is out.
Kendall Wright, WR, Tennessee Titans vs. Carolina Panthers
Out – Knee
After injuring his knee in Week 8, Wright missed last week’s game and has been ruled out for today too. The Titans next play on Thursday night and it is doubtful that he will be active for that game either. With the long week to rest, Wright should be able to go in Week 12. Dorial Green-Beckham had five receptions for 77 yards when Wright was out last week. DGB is a risk/reward WR3 this week.
Eddie Royal, WR, Chicago Bears at St. Louis Rams
Out – Knee
Like Kendall Wright, Royal injured his knee in Week 8 and will miss his second straight game. He did not practice all week, so it is not surprising that he is sitting this week out. The timetable for his return is unclear, but monitor what he is able to do in practice this week. In the six games that Royal has played, he has 171 yards and one touchdown. He can be dropped in 10- and 12-team leagues.
