Wild Tom Brady, Patriots Reunion Theory Goes Viral On Wednesday

Buccaneers QB Tom Brady

Tom Brady help transform the NFL's New England franchise into a dynasty. Wouldn't it be fitting if he rode off into the sunset in a Patriots uniform with Bill Belichick by his side?

Well, funny enough, that's exactly the theory being floated by prominent Patriots insider Jeff Howe of The Athletic on Wednesday.

The Patriots will have more than $100 million in cap space in 2023. They can use that on a top quarterback and find a few more stars at positions of need.

After all, no one in New England is sold on Mac Jones at this point. In fact, the verdict is likely already written in stone that he's not the guy.

"Brady and Belichick still have an abundance of respect for one another," said Howe.

It's a stretch, but nothing crazy. Why shouldn't Tom Brady go back to the place he won six Super Bowls.

With that being said, it's all speculation for now. Plus, Brady's 2023 decision will likely depend on how the 2022 season ends for the Bucs.

If things go south and Brady experiences an early-playoff defeat, New England could be in play in what's expected to be a wild Brady free-agency sweepstakes.
