The Winter Olympics are once again in focus, but this time, the discussion is no longer about her highly politicized decision to represent China.
The 22-year-old has been very active on social media, sharing parts of her life outside the sport she recently dominated. Gu, who switched from representing the United States to China in 2022, won three medals last February at the Milan-Cortina Games. She took home the gold medal in the women’s halfpipe event and silver medals in the big air and slopestyle competitions.
These Olympic victories have propelled her into becoming one of the most influential athletes of her generation. They have also made her one of the highest-paid athletes, according to Time magazine.
Her social media presence has also grown significantly as her profile continues to rise. Her charm and eloquence have made people more curious about her life.

Gu is trying boxing and fans thought, what can she not do?

“I’m just impressed with the athleticism and energy 🙌,” said another.
“Beauty, strength, AND discipline?? Unreal🔥🔥,” said one user.
Her caption also got people feeling inspired.
“We fight not because we hate the bad guys, but because we love the world❤️.”
