You know it's a big deal when the team account speaks up.
On Wednesday, the Super Bowl champion Patriots descended on the White House to meet with the president.
One thing that many knew going in was that some members of the team were not going to be in attendance. When it was all said and done, The New York Times tweeted a photograph of the difference the last time the Patriots were there with Barack Obama and the currently with Donald Trump.
It didn't take long for the Patriots to notice the viral photo and they responded accordingly.
These photos lack context. Facts: In 2015, over 40 football staff were on the stairs. In 2017, they were seated on the South Lawn. https://t.co/iIYtV0hR6Y— New England Patriots (@Patriots) April 20, 2017
The Patriots owner Robert Kraft is an outspoken Trump supporter so it's no surprise the team's account would say something about the matter. Safe to say, Trump appreciated the help.
Failing @nytimes, which has been calling me wrong for two years, just got caught in a big lie concerning New England Patriots visit to W.H.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 20, 2017
