2020 PGA Tour Schedule

A look at the revised calendar of events

On April 16, the PGA Tour announced its revised schedule for the remainder of the 2019-20 season in consideration with the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The PGA Tour made further modifications to the schedule, which now targets a June 11 return, following an initial April 6 announcement in collaboration with Augusta National Golf Club, European Tour, LPGA, PGA of America, The R&A, and the USGA.

As was previously announced, the biggest changes are the rescheduling of three of the four majors. The PGA Championship, which was originally scheduled for May, will now take place Aug. 6-9 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. The U.S. Open, which was set to take place in June, is now scheduled for Sept. 17-20 at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York. And the Masters Tournament will move from its traditional April date to Nov. 12-15. The Open Championship (British Open), which was scheduled for July 16-19 at Royal St. George's Golf Club in Southern England (Sandwich, Kent), has been canceled. It will be held at the same location in 2021.

Additionally, the PGA Tour moved its regular-season finale (Wyndham Championship) and all three FedEx Cup Playoff events (The Northern Trust, BMW Championship, and TOUR Championship) back a week later to accommodate the rescheduling of the PGA Championship. This means the FedEx Cup Playoffs will now conclude over Labor Day weekend with the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. A few other events were canceled or either rescheduled to take place during the 2020-21 season, which will officially start Sept. 7, including the U.S. Open, Ryder Cup, and Masters.
