Arizona and Seattle figure to be the strength of the NFC West yet again and both teams have Super Bowl aspirations. The Cardinals’ championship window with quarterback Carson Palmer may be closing, which is why the team traded for pass rusher Chandler Jones.
The calendar has turned to July, which means it’s almost time for the NFL to get back to business. The regular season doesn’t start until Sept. 8, but teams will open training camp later this month, officially starting the path for what eventually will lead to Super Bowl LI in NRG Stadium in Houston on Feb. 5, 2017.
The St. Louis Rams (5-8) have not been mathematically eliminated from a playoff spot, but nothing short of a miracle scenario will allow them to get in at this point.
