Gisele Bundchen is more than just the wife of five-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady
Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen, 38, married New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, 41, in 2009. Ever since, the two have been one of the most glamourous couples in sports or entertainment. Gisele is the mother of two children with Brady, Vivian (65) and Benny (8), as well as the stepmother of Jack (11), whose mother is actress Bridget Moynahan. Here are a few other tidbits about the first wife of football:
1. Made more money than Tom Brady
Although Brady has been well compensated, the five-time Super Bowl champ has been hamstrung by the NFL’s salary cap (plus the team-friendly deals he’s given the Patriots). Meanwhile, Gisele has lined up a client list that includes Chanel, H&M, Louis Vuitton, Carolina Herrera and numerous international brands in high fashion. Gisele was Forbes’ highest paid model for eight consecutive years, cresting with a three-year run of $44 million in 2013, $47 million in 2014 and $44 mil in 2015. Depending on the source, Gisele could be worth twice as much as Brady. (Related: Tom Brady's Net Worth)
2. Has five sisters, including a twin
Gisele was born in Tres de Maio, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, to parents of German descent. She has five sisters — Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and her fraternal twin, Patricia, who was born five minutes after Gisele. Patricia and Gabriela dabbled in modeling, but did not have the same success as Gisele, who was discovered as a 14-year-old eating at McDonald’s at a mall in Sao Paulo. From Big Mac to big money, the rest is history.
3. Triple threat: Model, singer, actress
Gisele isn’t just a pretty face, she’s also tried her hand as an actress and singer. Her 2014 cover of the 1979 Blondie hit “Heart of Glass” became a top-40 hit in Spain, France, Hungary and Poland, while also cracking the charts in Germany, Belgium and Austria. The project was in collaboration with H&M and French DJ Bob Sinclair. Gisele also cracked the top-40 of the US Dance charts with her 2013 release of “All Day and All of the Night.” She has appeared in the movies The Devil Wears Prada and Taxi, for which she was nominated for two Teen Choice Awards.

4. Dated Leonardo DiCaprio before marrying Tom Brady
Brady isn’t the first famous hunk with whom Gisele has been romantically involved. The Brazilian bombshell dated Leonardo DiCaprio for several years, showing up on red carpets, Lakers courtside seats and paparazzi photos with the Hollywood leading man. She was also reportedly linked to actor Josh Hartnett, surfer Kelly Slater and polo player Rico Mansur. She started dating Brady in 2006, following his breakup from Moynahan, and the power couple tied the knot in 2009.

5. Loves Dunkin’ Donuts and meditating in the morning
Although Brady is notoriously obsessed with his diet to the point where avocado ice cream is considered his “guilty pleasure,” Gisele gives in to carb cravings from time to time. Her favorite dessert is a very Boston treat from Dunkin’ Donuts. “Do you know those things called Munchkins?” she asked during a recent Wall Street Journal profile. “I cannot have one. I have to have, like, 10.” She obviously doesn’t eat donut holes every morning, but she does make sure to stay grounded by waking up before the kids — her “other” munchkins, as it were — to meditate and practice yoga.
