Semifinal: Philadephia Stars at New Jersey Generals, 3 p.m. ET on FOX

These two teams closed their regular seasons against each other, with New Jersey winning 26-23. However, last weekend's game meant nothing as it related to playoff positioning so it's not necessarily a great barometer. The Generals also won the first meeting with Philadelphia (24-16 back in Week 3), but it's not easy beating the same team three times in the same season. The Stars have the USFL's most potent offense (26.2 ppg) but New Jersey has been solid on both sides of the ball and hasn't lost since dropping its opener.

Semifinal: New Orleans Breakers at Birmingham Stallions, 8 p.m. ET on NBC

Birmingham won the two regular-season meetings with New Orleans but the most recent encounter (Week 8) was a 10-9 nailbiter. The Stallions got back into the win column last weekend against Tampa Bay after seeing their hopes of an undefeated season come to an end in Week 8 while the Breakers have stumbled down the stretch, going 1-2 in their last three contests. Turnovers and making the most of red-zone opportunities will be two keys to watch for this one.
