Athlon Sports visited with USC football recruit Jalen Ramsey.
Prep football in the Middle Tennessee area has shown marked improvement and growth over the last decade. Schools are more committed to developing football programs and the population in the area is growing. This is evident by the emergence of players like Brentwood Academy's do-everything athlete Jalen Ramsey. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete excels on offense, defense and special teams for one of Nashville's powerful private high schools. He played corner, safety, wide receiver, ran the ball some and had a knack for blocking kicks or punts on special teams.
His extraordinary talents earned him dozens of scholarship offers from elite football programs like USC, Oregon, Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, Ohio State and Tennessee (to name just a few). Ramsey is just as talented off the field as he is on it, so his unique personality also earned him offers from prestigious academic institutions like Vanderbilt, Duke and Cal. Essentially, Ramsey has his pick of any school in the nation.
And Athlon Sports had the opportunity to sit down with one of the future stars of the college gridiron.
