Caitlin Clark Reacts to Vanessa Bryant's Shoutout After Fever Rout Sky
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever continued their strong push heading into the postseason after obliterating the Chicago Sky on Friday, 100-81.
The Fever are now 5-1 since the league break for the Paris Olympics and improved to 16-16. Clark led the charge for the Christie Sides-coached unit with a career-high 31 points on top of 12 assists.
She also reached another historical feat by becoming the first player in WNBA history to tally three games of at least 25 points and 10 assists in a season.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James hailed Clark on X for her performance. But he wasn't the only NBA personality who supported the 22-year-old rookie. Vanessa Bryant, the wife of the late Lakers icon Kobe Bryant, posted about Clark on her Instagram Story.
She also highlighted that Clark rocked the new Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE in their dominant victory over the Sky.
Clark shared Vanessa's post on her own Instagram Story.
Kobe was a major proponent of the women's game, even before the WNBA blew up in recent years.
He would've loved Clark's game and the way she has helped the league reach unprecedented heights.
Clark's moxie and fierceness are reminiscent of Kobe, who was also unfazed as an 18-year-old rookie with the Lakers. He later went on to capture five titles with the squad.
Clark, meanwhile, will look to lead the Fever to their first WNBA Finals appearance since 2015.
