Unbelievable Caitlin Clark Stat Turns Heads Ahead of First Playoff Matchup with Sun

An insane Caitlin Clark statistic has turned heads ahead of her first career playoff game.

The Indiana Fever and their No. 1 overall pick, Caitlin Clark, had quite the 2024 regular season. Clark, their star rookie, had one of the best rookie seasons of all time breaking an unbelievable amount of records, and helping turn her team around into a championship contender.

That said, there was one area in particular in which she excelled, and that was her passing game. Dishing out 8.4 assists a night, Clark lead the league in assists per game, and set the record for most total assists in a single season. While this stat is impressive in itself, another stat blows it out of the water. After just her rookie season, Clark has more career assists than 83.01 percent of all players in WNBA history.

If there's any stat that displays how ridiculous her rookie season was, it's this one. After just one season, having more in a particular career stat than 83 percent of players in league history is just insane, but for it to be assists, it's just unbelievable.

Clark will easily go down as the best playmaker in WNBA history when it's all said and done, which is incredible when thinking about how good of a scorer and defender she is.

Clark and the Fever are taking on the Connecticut Sun in their first WNBA playoff game on Sunday at 3:00 pm ET, which will be a very exciting game to watch. Both Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston will be key factors, so Clark's playmaking game should be on full display.
