Vega explained she was in the middle of her workout when a fan approached her. “I was working out at the gym and they’re, ‘Hey, um, those socks that you’re wearing…’” she recalled, initially thinking nothing strange of the interaction.
She assumed the fan was going to compliment her choice of anime-themed footwear. “And I was thinking, oh, they probably think it’s really cute. I got them from FYE because they’re these little anime socks,” Vega said, noting they featured Todoroki from My Hero Academia. “They were showing up over my pants, so I thought that’s what they were going to ask about, ‘Oh, where did you get those?'”
However, the fan's intentions were quite different and took a weird turn. “Instead, they were, ‘Yeah, can we have them? And would you mind signing the top of it, but don’t… I don’t want you to wash them or anything,’" Vega recounted.
Maintaining her composure, Vega firmly declined the odd request. "And I’m, no, thank you, but no,” she said she replied, able to laugh about the strange memory now. “I’m going to keep my socks. I like my Todoroki socks. Thank you.”
This is Vega's first run as a singles champion in WWE after being with the company for years and having two stints.
