She has kept herself busy ever since, even becoming the first female athlete ever to appear on the cover of Vogue wearing her signature shoe.

Just recently, Reese was also involved in the biggest story in the WNBA. The Chicago Sky traded her to the Atlanta Dream in exchange for two first-round picks in 2027 and 2028.

A day after she was dealt to the Dream, though, Reese continued her projects off the court. On Tuesday, she went to New York for the launch of her Victoria's Secret campaign, making her the first WNBA player to achieve such a feat.

On Instagram, Reese made a post about the event, drawing plenty of reactions. Naturally, one of the people to show support for Reese was her boyfriend, NBA center Wendell Carter Jr.

"Calm down twin," the Orlando Magic player wrote, clearly loving Reese's campaign and look for the launch.

Reese, for her part, showed her appreciation for Carter by replying to his comment and saying, "luva."

Reese and Carter have never publicly confirmed their relationship, but they have been dropping hints that they are dating since last year. Reese has a necklace that features the initials of Carter, "WCJ."

The now-Dream forward has also attended Magic games frequently throughout the 2025-26 season and posted about Carter's highlights.

Considering how supportive Carter has been, it won't be surprising to see him attend Atlanta games once the new WNBA season kicks off in May.

Considering the value both coaches bring to their respective programs, along with the name recognition, a midseason or postseason firing seems unlikely. However, if the Buffaloes and Tar Heels fail to rebound in ‘26, two of the biggest coaching names in college football will enter the offseason on the hot seat with even more doubts surrounding their programs and the overall direction.

Deion Sanders or Bill Belichick: Which Coach is Under More Pressure in 2026?

My answer is Sanders, but it's a close call. Let's look at what Colorado has done in three seasons under his watch: 4-8 in 2023, 9-4 in 2024 (the program's best record since 2016) and 3-9 in 2025. Sanders' debut was incredibly compelling despite the second-half collapse. Year 2 showed proof of concept with hardware in the form of Travis Hunter's Heisman Trophy to back it up. But last season was shockingly. . . irrelevant, which is something I never would have expected out of a Sanders-led squad.

The Buffaloes went 1-9 against Power 4 teams and finished second-to-last in the Big 12. And unlike in Sanders' first season in charge, those struggles barely registered on the national stage. It's not that there's some grand standard for Sanders to live up to at Colorado. This is a program that has as many one-win seasons as it does 10-win campaigns since the turn of the century. But the difference between Sanders and Belichick is that the former has demonstrated a higher ceiling thus far as a college coach.

If Belichick, who went 4-8 in his first season at UNC, falls on his face again, then the Tar Heels can chalk it up to a failed experiment and part ways with the 73-year-old coach. He'll still go into the Hall of Fame — eventually — and this unfortunate foray into college will be remembered as a footnote in an otherwise extraordinary coaching career.

Colorado has already been successful with Sanders at the helm, in part because of the talent he acquired. There's an expectation that he should be able to recapture some of that 2024 magic with another hefty transfer portal haul. But if 2026 is anything like 2023 or 2025, this could be it for coach Prime. One thing is for sure: Neither Colorado nor UNC wants to pay top dollar for three- or four-win seasons from their celebrity coaches.

Tough call. A compelling argument can be made for either Sanders or Belichick in this space. Realistically, I don’t think either is in danger of being fired at the end of ‘26. However, the pressure on both certainly increased after last season and can again this fall. 

I agree with Kyle’s points on Sanders, so let’s take the Belichick side of this debate. Hiring arguably the greatest coach in NFL history was a huge coup for North Carolina. While the credentials weren’t in question, plenty of doubts were raised about Belichick’s ability to adapt to the college game after his hire and again after a disappointing 4-8 debut. In addition to the poor on-field performance, the seemingly constant drama surrounding Belichick was a headache for the program.

In addition to winning just four games against a favorable schedule, the Tar Heels failed to show many on-field reasons for optimism. The offense averaged only 4.96 yards a snap in ACC games, struggled to generate big plays, and ranked near the bottom of the conference in passing production. The defensive output was slightly better, but in seven games against teams with a winning record, North Carolina surrendered 32.3 points a contest. 

Belichick took steps to address last year’s failure by landing a hefty haul of incoming freshmen (over 40 recruits) and continued to dip into the portal for instant help. Also, the hire of Bobby Petrino as coordinator should provide a massive boost for the offense. However, I still have questions about several members of Belichick’s staff (on and off-the-field), and the roster might be a year away from massive improvement.

Belichick’s hire certainly added intrigue and raised the national profile of North Carolina’s football program. However, if the Tar Heels have another lackluster season and few signs of actual improvement or reason for optimism, paying $10 million a year for Belichick to post losing records would add to the pressure and create some overall uneasiness about where this tenure is going.

“I like when my back is against the wall,” Brown said during a road trip to Los Angeles earlier this season. “I like when people doubt. It fuels me.”

Partly because of that fuel, the Celtics have thrust themselves into an unthinkable position.

Many observers projected the Celtics would experience a gap year in the 2025-26 season while adjusting to two financially driven trades (Kristaps Porziņģis, Jrue Holiday), free-agent departures (Al Horford, Luke Kornet) and a nearly season-long injury (Jayson Tatum). Instead, the Celtics (54-25) enter Thursday’s game (7:30 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video) against the New York Knicks (51-28) on pace to finish with the Eastern Conference’s No.  2 seed.

The Celtics haven’t just proven themselves as a worthy playoff contender, though. They have excelled well enough to become the betting favorite to advance to the NBA Finals out of the Eastern Conference.

Brown may not win regular-season MVP, but he has morphed into a worthy candidate. Tatum, after rehabbing his right Achilles tendon nearly all season, returned last month and has accepted a reduced role. The Celtics have a supporting cast full of familiar faces (Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, Neemias Queta) and new ones (Nikola Vučević, Luka Garza). Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has maximized his roster to ensure that Boston is one of the league’s most balanced offensive and defensive teams.

“We’re hungry,” White said earlier this season. “Everybody doubted us. We have a lot of guys that have that chip on our shoulder.”

Tatum Will Be in Full Form When Playoffs Start

Tatum arguably has the biggest chip after suffering an injury that often sidelines players for an entire season. Sometimes, it even ends their careers. Not Tatum, who returned in 10 months. Both the Celtics and outside doctors found the quick timeline reasonable because of Tatum’s age (28), disciplined rehab and limited workload.

They also projected this could work because Tatum would have about a month of regular-season basketball to improve his conditioning and timing. Yes, Tatum remains on pace to finish with the third-lowest averages in his nine-year career in points per game (21.6) and minutes played (32.1) as well as a career-low shooting percentage (41.9%). Tatum has compensated, however, with a career-high in rebounds (9.8) and his second-highest output in assists (5.1) per game. Once the playoffs start, both parties project that Tatum can manage a heavier workload.

No one should worry about how Tatum and his teammates will accommodate him as either the team’s first or second option. Tatum and Brown figured that out well enough to win an NBA championship in 2024. Following tactical adjustments in two NBA Finals (2024, 2022) and three other Eastern Conference finals (2018, 2020, 2023) together, Tatum and Brown have become one of the NBA’s most cooperative and productive duos. Tatum will show his readiness to increase his scoring and shooting. With refined shot selection and passing efficiency, Tatum won’t feel compelled to force anything.

Brown Has Maintained MVP Play With and Without Tatum

Without Tatum, Brown elevated his role to reach career-highs in points (28.8) and shot attempts (21.9) per game. Brown did not solely resort to one-on-one play, though. In addition to his prolific shot creation, Brown ensured a team-wide prolific offense with aggressiveness and attentiveness. He attacked the paint to create opportunities at the rim, at the free-throw line and on kick-out passes. He remains on pace to finish with career-highs in assists per game (5.2), thanks to those drive-and-kicks, pick-and-rolls and swing passes. He often took on the team’s top defensive assignment, too.

So much that Brown argued he has become the “best two-way player in the world.”  Since Tatum’s return, Brown has maintained his role as the team’s primary scorer and defender. Yet, Brown will become adaptable by adjusting his approach as Tatum expectedly increases his workload.  

“I’ve always had a great mentality and approach to the game,” Brown said. “I’ve always put the team first. Whatever the coaching staff has asked me to do, I’ve done. Now I’ve been asked to do more because a lot of guys have been traded. I’m forced to be in this position. And I’m grateful because I’m able to show the world who I am and who I’ve been.”

Celtics’ Coaching, Supporting Cast Have Been Strong

Most observers expected Brown to elevate his play. Few expected his teammates would follow suit.

“I want to speak to how rare it is to have five or six new players come in and add to winning right away,” Brown said. “It says a lot about our leadership. It says a lot about our coaching staff. That does not happen in the NBA.”

It happened to the Celtics, however, for a few reasons.

White, who won the Eastern Conference’s Defensive Player of the Month honor in February, morphed from dependable two-way player into an All-Star candidate. Pritchard and Hauser have received consistent minutes in Boston for their reliable outside shooting. Garza has thrived with more playing time than in his previous stops. Queta, after experiencing a fluctuating role in his first four seasons, has become a definitive starter as a productive scorer and rim protector. 

Sensing they still had a title-contending window, however, the Celtics acquired another proven big man in Vučević from Chicago for a young wing in Anfernee Simons before the trade deadline. Vučević stayed sidelined for nearly a month with a fractured right ring finger, but he has recently returned and appears ready to contribute to a playoff run with his scoring and passing versatility.

“You never really know going into the season. But I was pretty confident in the summer that we would do a lot of good things,” White said. “Obviously, we’ve had a lot of new faces and new roles, so you didn’t know how quickly it’s going to happen. But I was pretty confident going into the season with the work we put in.”

Most importantly, the Celtics have an innovative coach. Mazzulla has managed his stars by both collaborating with them and holding them accountable. He has elevated his role players by putting them in positions to succeed.

“Since I’ve been here,” Mazzulla said, “I get to coach guys that care about winning and care about defense, care about the team.”

Eastern Conference Landscape Is Turbulent

Compare the Celtics to their competition.

The Detroit Pistons (58-22) currently have the No. 1 seed. Yet, they played inconsistently even before Cade Cunningham’s recent injury. The New York Knicks have mostly the same roster as last year’s Eastern Conference finals team. Yet, their defensive improvement under veteran coach Mike Brown has coincided with an unpredictable supporting cast. The Cleveland Cavaliers have added James Harden to the star-studded roster of Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Yet, they have stayed unreliable with their health and team chemistry.

The Celtics may still have question marks about whether they can win another NBA title. They will at least advance to the NBA Finals, though. They do not field the same issues as the other Eastern Conference contenders. They already have defied the public’s expectations, too.

“Even though it’ll be nice to get some respect, keep it up,” Brown said. “I definitely use it as fuel.”

For right fielder Kyle Tucker, the trip was a bit special as he was a top free agent who chose to sign a four-year, $240 million deal with the Dodgers in January after being heavily pursued by Toronto.

Back in June 2024, while playing for the Houston Astros, the 29-year-old suffered a freak shin fracture after fouling a ball off his leg in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. 

It was a frustrating stretch overall as the Astros initially downplayed the injury as a 'bone bruise' or 'shin contusion' for months before finally confirming the fracture near the end of his three-month recovery.

During that rehab period, the Blue Jays showed very rare sportsmanship. When the Astros visited Toronto in July, the Jays allowed Tucker to use their new training facilities at Rogers Centre, even though he was part of the opposition. Tucker hasn’t forgotten that hospitality.

He recently told The Athletic’s Mitch Bannon, “I was always very grateful for that. They’re a good organization."

That goodwill from the Blue Jays organization wasn't enough to change Tucker's mind during free agency, though. They officially met with Tucker at their player development complex in Dunedin, Florida, to recruit him and reportedly offered Tucker a massive long-term deal worth $350 million over 10 years. But he ultimately chose California for family reasons and the Dodgers' winning culture.

“I was just trying to make the most of the rest of my career,” he said about singing with the Dodgers. “You don’t play this game forever, so I was trying to make the most out of it wherever I felt the best landing spot was for me and my family. That was California.”

The Dodgers' contract makes him the highest-paid player for the season with a $55 million cash payout and a record $57.1 million average annual value.

To validate this big paycheck, he has already proved himself as a key contributor to the lineup. He is currently hitting .268/.354/.366 through his first few weeks in Los Angeles. Through 12 games, he has recorded 12 hits, 1 home run, and 8 RBIs.

Tucker is now heading back to Dodger Stadium, as the team will host the Texas Rangers for a three-game series. It begins Friday with the first pitch scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET.

Entrance song: "Tsunami" by DVBBS and Borgeous

Entrance song:"Anthem Part Two" by Blink-182
Fairbanks comes over to Miami from Tampa Bay, where he saved 75 games over the previous three seasons. He salutes San Diego pop-punk icons Blink-182 with his walk-in sounds.

New York Mets

Closer: Devin Williams
Entrance song:"From Nothing" by Key Glock
Williams, a two-time All-Star with the Brewers, comes to the Mets this year after one season across town with the Yankees. He hails from the St. Louis area, which is just a few hours up the road from Memphis, home of rapper Key Glock. Williams opts for the 2023 track "From Nothing" off the album "Glockoma 2."

Philadelphia Phillies

Closer: Jhoan Duran
Entrance song:"El Incomprendido" by Farruko (mixed with "Hot" by Pitbull and Daddy Yankee)
The Durantula just might have the coolest closer entrance in baseball, with the scoreboards at Citizens Bank Park featuring giant spiders upon his arrival. The Dominican closer selects a 2021 track from Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Farruko as his entry jam.

Washington Nationals

Clayton Beeter recorded the first save of the season for the Nationals in Chicago against the Cubs on March 29. Alas, Washington doesn't list an entrance song for him.

Palencia registered 22 saves in his first season in the closer role last year. The Venezuelan right-hander picks 2004's "Gasolina" by Puerto Rican artist Daddy Yankee as his entrance sounds.

Entrance song:"Kingdom" by Downstait
"Kingdom" is best known as the entrance music of pro wrestler Cody Rhodes. In fact, Indiana metallists Downstait wrote the song specifically for Rhodes. But now Pagán is jamming to those same chords at Great American Ball Park.

Megill earned an All-Star nod last season on his way to recording 30 saves for the division-winning Brew Crew. He's only 32 years old, but he reaches for a metal classic from Metallica's 1983 debut album.

The veteran center ended her eleven-year run with the Phoenix Mercury in 2025 and signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Dream.

However, her production dipped with her new team, averaging career lows. The 35-year-old notched of 9.8 points on 51.8 percent shooting, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 39 games. 

Griner is now an unrestricted free agent as the official negotiating period opened on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-9 center is a ten-time All-Star with championship experience. She remains a valuable piece for any contender next season. 

The league recently addressed Griner’s free agency by honoring her remarkable career.

Griner remains a force with career averages of 16.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.4 blocks across twelve seasons. 

The former Baylor star has been a game-changer since entering the league. The WNBA posted a graphic on Instagram that highlights her full career timeline as a teaser for her next move.

He may not have the elite physical traits or upside of the Caleb Williams/Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye trio from a couple of years ago, but he's got everything he needs to develop into a successful starter if Vegas can build a strong roster around him.

2. New York Jets

David Bailey | Edge | Texas Tech

We've long expected this pick to be an edge rusher, but the closer we get to the draft, the more it feels like the Jets will opt for the proven production Bailey brings to the table over the upside of Ohio State's Arvell Reese. Bailey tied for the FBS lead with 14.5 sacks last season, and has the most explosive first step of any edge defender in this year's loaded class. He would make an immediate impact at a premium position in Aaron Glenn's defense.

3. Arizona Cardinals

Arvell Reese | Edge/LB | Ohio State

I'm betting the Cards would love to trade out of this pick to target better value at right tackle later in the first round, but if forced to stick and pick, Reese makes the most sense. Arizona's recent history features multiple swing-and-miss picks on hybrid defenders (Isaiah Simmons, Zaven Collins), but that won't necessarily deter the current regime from rolling the dice on Reece's potential. He's more pro-ready as an off-ball linebacker, but picking him this high would indicate an expectation that Reese could develop into a high-impact edge player.

4. Tennessee Titans

Jeremiyah Love | RB | Notre Dame

There will be an argument that the Titans' roster isn't ready to spend a top-five pick on a running back, and there's validity to that. But Love also happens to be arguably the best player in this entire draft, and the idea of giving such a dynamic weapon to a young quarterback in Cam Ward could be incredibly appealing. They have more pressing needs elsewhere, but Love's versatility, explosiveness, and playmaking ability are worth the valuable investment here.

5. New York Giants

Francis Mauigoa | OT | Miami (FL)

The Giants have addressed some of their immediate needs along the offensive line with veteran re-signings and new additions, but that's not likely to stop John Harbaugh from investing in the long-term health of that unit as he looks to put his stamp on the franchise. Mauigoa was a dominant right tackle for the Canes, but could start his NFL career at guard before kicking back outside down the line.

6. Dallas Cowboys (from CLE)*

Sonny Styles | LB | Ohio State

Cowboys get: No. 6 overall, No. 39 overall

Browns get: No. 12 overall, No. 20 overall, No. 152 overall

Trading up for an off-ball linebacker? In this economy? Well, take your "positional value" complaints elsewhere, because Styles is worth it. He's got a rare combination of size, athleticism and versatility that makes him a true three-down weapon against both the run and pass, and he's exactly the kind of leader you can build an entire identity around on that side of the ball. This defense needs a tone-setter in the middle, and Styles has all the traits to be a special player.

7. Washington Commanders

Carnell Tate | WR | Ohio State

Another team I'd expect to pursue a trade-down, Washington has more needs than picks, most of them on the defense. There's so much talent to pick from on that side of the ball, but if Tate makes it to this spot, I wouldn't be surprised if the Commanders jumped at the chance to pair him with Terry McLaurin. This would give Jayden Daniels a fantastic 1-2 punch in the short-term, and also a smooth transition in the future from McLaurin to Tate as the No. 1 target in the passing game.

8. New Orleans Saints

Mansoor Delane | CB | LSU

If Tate's off the board, the Saints should pivot to their many needs on defense, and they've got some fantastic options in this scenario. They could easily opt for Ohio State safety Caleb Downs or Miami edge defender Rueben Bain Jr. here, but the opportunity to land the top corner in this year's class might be too much to pass up. Delane was an absolute shutdown artist for the in-state Bayou Bengals last season, and would immediately be the best corner on this roster.

9. Kansas City Chiefs

Caleb Downs | S | Ohio State

I haven't seen this pick in pretty much any mock draft throughout this process, and I'm not sure why. I'm betting the Chiefs won't be picking in the top 10 again anytime soon, so they won't have many opportunities to land arguably the best player in the entire draft, regardless of position. Taking a dynamic, versatile playmaker like Downs and handing him to one of the league's best and most creative defensive coordinators in Steve Spagnuolo would be a massive win, and his ability to make a big impact right away would help Kansas City get right back in the Lombardi Trophy hunt.

10. Cincinnati Bengals

Rueben Bain Jr. | Edge | Miami (FL)

This would be a fantastic scenario for the Bengals, who land the top edge defender on my board to give their pass rush an immediate boost. Bain was one of the most dominant players in all of college football last season, and his complete skill set makes him a fearsome three-down presence who can rush the passer and defend the run at a high level. Cincy paid big money to Boye Mafe to help alleviate the loss of Trey Hendrickson, but landing Bain would give them insurance in case Shemar Stewart's development doesn't accelerate fast enough in Year 2.

11. Miami Dolphins

Jermod McCoy | CB | Tennessee

Few teams have as many needs as Miami, but thankfully, they've got plenty of early picks to kick off the rebuild. That starts on defense in this scenario, as the Dolphins are able to land an elite cover man in McCoy who would have been a top-10 lock had he not missed the entire 2025 season with a knee injury. After a stellar pro day workout, McCoy could easily find himself back in the top 10, making him a potential bargain here based on his elite 2024 tape.

12. Cleveland Browns (from DAL)*

Spencer Fano | OT | Utah

This is the perfect trade-back scenario for the Browns, who move down six spots, and still get one of this year's top offensive tackle prospects at a better value while scoring a third first-round pick in this draft. Fano can play either tackle spot, and while his technique could use a little polish, he's got all the traits to quickly develop into a dominant blocker for a team that spent the offseason trying to piece together a patchwork offensive line with veteran additions.

13. Los Angeles Rams (from ATL)

Makai Lemon | WR | USC

This has become a fairly popular mock pick in recent weeks, and with good reason. Even before Puka Nacua's off-field situation, the Rams were in need of a young WR2 who could serve as Davante Adams' understudy and eventual successor, while making an immediate impact in three-receiver sets. Lemon's explosiveness and physicality would make him an ideal fit for this offense, and you can bet Sean McVay would be able to get the most out of his skill set.

14. Baltimore Ravens

Olaivavega Ioane | OL | Penn State

There may be a new coaching staff in Baltimore, but the same folks are calling the shots in the personnel department, and this just feels too much like a classic Ravens pick. Instead of opting for a flashy pass-catcher, Baltimore helps out Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and company by building through the trenches with Ioane, easily this year's top guard prospect. He's a top-10 talent in this class, and would be a plug-and-play starter with immediate All-Pro potential.

15. San Francisco 49ers (from TB)*

Monroe Freeling | OT | Georgia

49ers get: No. 15 overall

Buccaneers get: No. 27 overall, No. 58 overall, No. 127 overall

If you want one of this year's top offensive tackle prospects, and you're picking near the back of the first round, you're gonna have to move up for one. That's the reality for a team like the 49ers, which needs a long-term succession plan at left tackle even if they're able to work out a deal to bring back Trent Williams for the 2026 season. Freeling would be an ideal target, with the athleticism necessary to excel in Kyle Shanahan's scheme, and the upside to eventually develop into an elite blocker with size, power and physicality.

16. New York Jets (from IND)

Jordyn Tyson | WR | Arizona State

This is where the Ty Simpson conversation could start, but I just don't see the Jets making that move here. Instead, they've got a chance to help out their yet-to-be-found future franchise quarterback by adding a dynamic pass-catcher in Tyson, who has impressive route-running ability and big-play potential after the catch. He's arguably a top-10 talent, but concerns over durability and toughness could leave Tyson on the board in this range, giving New York the chance to pair him with Garrett Wilson.

17. Detroit Lions

Kadyn Proctor | OT | Alabama

The Taylor Decker era is over in Detroit, and it's time for the Lions to find their new starter at left tackle. Thankfully, the top tier of this year's tackle class is fairly deep, which should give Dan Campbell and company some worthy candidates at this spot. Proctor's game is still a bit rough around the edges from a technique standpoint, but he's got rare physical gifts you just can't teach, and rare athleticism for such a massive player. It might take some patience, but Proctor has as much upside as any tackle in this draft.

18. Minnesota Vikings

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren | S | Toledo

It looks like the Vikings will be searching for the next Harrison Smith here, but it'll be a tall task to fill the shoes of the future Hall of Famer. That said, McNeil-Warren has a similar frame and skill set, with a hard-hitting style of play that can make him a tone-setting presence for the entire defense. That's exactly what Smith has been for more than a decade in Minnesota, and McNeil-Warren would have the benefit of playing for one of the league's best defensive coordinators in Brian Flores.

19. Carolina Panthers

Kenyon Sadiq | TE | Oregon

There are bigger needs on both sides of the ball for Carolina, but if Sadiq is still on the board, they could end up tossing them out the window. Easily the top tight end in this class, Sadiq brings a dangerous combination of speed, athleticism and physicality to the position, and his presence would give Bryce Young a valuable mismatch weapon to attack opposing defenses at every level of the field.

20. Cleveland Browns (from DAL via GB)*

Caleb Lomu | OT | Utah

What's better than landing one of Utah's stud offensive tackle prospects in this class? Getting both of them, which the Browns could do here, thanks to our projected trade with Dallas. Grabbing Lomu with this pick would allow Cleveland to insert Lomu on the right side, and keep him lined up across from his college teammate in Fano, giving them long-term security at both tackle spots to help aid in the development of any young quarterback they choose to invest in over the next few years.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers

Omar Cooper Jr. | WR | Indiana

This is another spot where Ty Simpson's name is likely to come up, but I just don't see the Steelers going in that direction here. Instead, they have an opportunity to make life easier for whoever ends up throwing passes for them next year and beyond, landing a complete receiver in Cooper, who brings the versatility to line up all over the offense, the athleticism to make big things happen after the catch, the toughness and physicality required to be a Steeler at any position, and a knack for making clutch plays in critical moments.

22. Los Angeles Chargers

Keldric Faulk | Edge | Auburn

The biggest need here is along the interior of the offensive line, but in this scenario, there's just not a worthy prospect for this spot. Instead, the Chargers could look to the trenches on the other side of the ball, where they need to make a long-term investment behind Khalil Mack and across from Tuli Tuipolotu on the edge. Faulk is a polarizing prospect due to his lack of production as a pass rusher, but he's a strong run defender with a rare combination of size and athleticism, as well as the versatility to line up all over the defensive front.

23. Philadelphia Eagles

Max Iheanachor | OT | Arizona State

Lane Johnson is back for another year, but the Eagles need to plan for the future at right tackle, and this is the perfect opportunity. A late-comer to the gridiron, Iheanachor didn't play football until a basketball coach in junior college said it might be a good idea. That was good advice, and Iheanchor has quickly developed into a dominant force thanks to his impressive combination of size, power and athleticism. He's still just scratching the surface of his potential, and letting him learn behind a future Hall of Famer in Johnson would help ensure he reaches that lofty ceiling.

24. Cleveland Browns (from JAX)

Denzel Boston | WR | Washington

After landing their new bookends for the offensive line earlier in the round, the Browns finish off their first-round hat trick with more help for their quarterback of the future. Boston's size and other impressive physical traits make him a reliable target in contested-catch situations, and a dominant red-zone threat. His skill set would pair well with Jerry Jeudy's in Cleveland, and immediately raise the ceiling of this passing game for 2026 and beyond.

Colton Hood | CB | Tennessee

Giants get: No. 25 overall

Bears get: DL Dexter Lawrence

It looks like Lawrence wants change of scenery, and the Giants could find a willing trade partner in the Bears, who need the interior dominance he brings to the defensive trenches. In return for sending Lawrence where he can make an instant impact for a playoff contender, the Giants get the chance to find their new top cornerback. Hood was stellar in 2025 while Jermod McCoy was out all year with his knee injury, proving to be a shutdown corner in his own right against SEC competition.

26. Buffalo Bills

Dillon Thieneman | S | Oregon

If they're not able to land a new No. 1 receiver to help Josh Allen, this would still be an attractive backup plan for the Bills, who need another high-end safety to pair with Cole Bishop long-term. Thieneman's tape shows a versatile, athletic defender with ideal playmaking instincts, and his incredible performance at the NFL Scouting Combine proved he's one of the best pure athletes in the entire draft. He'd make an immediate impact as a three-level defender in Buffalo, and could be a massive steal at this point in the first round.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from SF)*

Cashius Howell | Edge | Texas A&M

After moving back 12 spots and adding valuable picks, the Bucs are able to fill one of their biggest needs and get better value in the process. There are multiple edge rushers worth consideration here, but Howell stands out as the most alluring combination of production and upside. His tape proves he can take over games single-handedly, and any concerns about his lack of ideal arm length should be snuffed out by proven success against top competition with polished technique and a vast array of pass-rushing moves.

28. Houston Texans

Peter Woods | DL | Clemson

This would be such a fantastic fit for both team and player. It's hard to imagine this defense getting even better in 2026, but one thing last year's unit was missing was a disruptive interior presence who could consistently blow up plays in the backfield. Woods didn't get to do that much for the Tigers due to spending far too much of his time playing out of position, but in Houston, you can bet DeMeco Ryans would put him in position to maximize his skill set and turn him into the best version of himself.

29. Kansas City Chiefs (from LAR)

Blake Miller | OT | Clemson

There are some pass-catching weapons the Chiefs could consider here, but if Miller is available, he makes too much sense. After moving on from Jawaan Taylor, Kansas City needs to find a new starter at right tackle, and Miller's experience makes him the ideal fit. With 54 starts under his belt at that spot, Miller would be a plug-and-play starter who would immediately make Patrick Mahomes' life easier, and his 2025 tape showed marked improvement as a run blocker that has made him a more complete player.

30. Miami Dolphins (from DEN)

KC Concepcion | WR | Texas A&M

The Dolphins got this pick by trading away Jaylen Waddle, so it's only fitting they use it to replace him. Concepcion may not be the most complete receiver in this class, but he's an elite seperator with big-play explosiveness, both downfield and after the catch. If Malik Willis is going to succeed in Miami, it's imperative that the Dolphins give him a fighting chance by reloading the weapons around him as they head into a rebuild.

Cardinals get: No. 31 overall

Patriots get: No. 34 overall, No. 143 overall

If Simpson makes it this far down the board, I wouldn't be shocked to see a QB-needy team picking at the top of the second round make a short jump to land him here. The Cards would have to get ahead of the Jets to ensure he doesn't go off the board right in front of them, and they're not likely to find a willing trade partner in the division-rival Seahawks. Instead, the Pats could be just fine with helping an NFC team leap over one of their own rivals to land a potential franchise quarterback of the future. Simpson has some clear drawbacks (lack of starting experience/high-end physical tools, inconsistent late-season tape in 2025), but he showed flashes of potential that could be developed into a successful starter with the right surroundings.

Chris Johnson | CB | San Diego State

It seems unfair to make this defense even better, but the Seahawks could be looking for reinforcements at corner after letting Riq Woolen walk in free agency. Johnson is one of my favorite prospects in this class, with some of the cleanest tape I've seen from anyone throughout this process. He's smart, athletic, technically sound, and polished enough to make an instant impact for the defending Super Bowl champs.

Here are the 10 worst draft picks in Cowboys history. As we did with the worst picks in Pittsburgh Steelers history and Green Bay Packers history, we’re only looking at first-round picks. Expectations are much lower after that. Also, we won’t go back further than the 1960s. The draft has always been an inexact science, but scouting departments and draft prep were not a serious thing before then.  

Worst draft picks in Cowboys history

1. Bill Thomas, RB, 1972

The Cowboys had just won Super Bowl VI, but were unsure about the future of running back Duane Thomas. So they drafted Bill Thomas out of Boston College in the first round, 26th overall, and then took Houston’s Robert Newhouse in the second round, 35th overall. And while Newhouse played 12 years with the Cowboys, rushing for nearly 5,000 yards and scoring 36 total touchdowns, Bill Thomas was never the same after re-injuring a shoulder injury he had suffered in college. Thomas played less than one full season with Dallas, started one game for the Oilers in 1973 and was out of football after the ’74 season.

2. Taco Charlton, DE, 2017

Taco Charlton was the 28th pick out of Michigan. We’re putting him higher on this list than he might deserve because he had a great name for a NFL player and he couldn’t back it up. After notching 10 sacks as a senior with Michigan, he had four sacks in two seasons with Dallas before falling out of favor. After he began the 2019 as a healthy scratch, Charlton took to social media requesting to be released… and the Cowboys obliged. Charlton played sparingly for four different teams over the next four years, and then he was done.

3. Morris Claiborne, CB, 2012

Morris Claiborne wasn’t a bad cornerback, though he never earned a Pro Bowl nod in his eight NFL seasons. He certainly wasn’t worth the sixth overall pick in the draft, which is what the LSU star was. What’s worse, the Cowboys traded up eight spots in the first round to take Claiborne at No. 6 — when they could have taken Hall of Fame linebacker Luke Kuechley, who went eighth. And in order to move up, they traded away a second-round pick, 45th overall. Another great linebacker, Bobby Wagner, went two picks after that.

4. Mazi Smith, DT, 2023

When the Cowboys made Michigan’s Mazi Smith the 26th player drafted three years ago, he became the first defensive tackle Dallas took in Round 1 since Russell Maryland in 1991. Mazi Smith is no Russell Maryland. Smith lost his starting job last season and was a throw-in when the Cowboys sent a first-round pick to the Jets in exchange for Quinnen Williams. As of now, Smith is listed as a backup on a thin Jets defensive line.   

5. David LaFleur, TE, 1997

The Cowboys really wanted Tony Gonzalez in this draft, but the future Hall of Famer was drafted 13th overall — nine spots before Dallas settled on David LaFleur out of LSU. While Gonzalez went on the catch 1,325 passes for 15,127 yards and 111 touchdowns during a 17-year career, LaFleur lasted all of four seasons, finishing with 85 catches for 729 yards and 12 TDs.

6. Danny Noonan, DT, 1987

After a decorated college career at Nebraska, Danny Noonan was drafted with the 12th overall pick in 1987, considered a potential replacement for soon-to-retire Hall of Famer Randy White. But he only started 41 games in just over five years. Dallas released him two games into the 1992 season; he played six games as a backup with the Packers, and that was it.

7. Shante Carver, DE, 1994

First off, the Cowboys traded up five spots to draft Arizona State’s Shante Carver with the 23rd overall pick. Didn’t pay off. Carver had 11.5 career sacks in four seasons and was not re-signed. After being out of football for three years, he bounced around the CFL, XFL and arena football, but never returned to the NFL.

8. Kevin Brooks, DT, 1985

This pick was destined to be a disappointment. The player Dallas was planning to draft with the 17th overall pick in 1985 was some guy named Jerry Rice. When the San Francisco 49ers traded up to snag Rice at 16, the Cowboys settled on Michigan’s Kevin Brooks. While Rice became one of the greatest players in NFL history, Noonan lasted just six years in the league. He had 15.5 career sacks, though three of those came during the players strike in 1987, when he crossed the picket line and played as a scab.

9. Billy Cannon Jr., LB, 1984

Billy Cannon Jr., the 25th player taken in 1984, was always going to have too-high expectations. His father was a Heisman Trophy winner and a two-time AFL championship game MVP with the Houston Oilers. Billy Cannon Jr. became the first player the Cowboys ever drafted from Texas A&M, adding to the pressure. But eight games into his NFL career, a preexisting congenital spinal condition was made worse by a tackle that damaged two vertebrae near his neck. Cannon never played again.

10. Robert Shaw, C, 1979

A two-time all-SEC lineman at Tennessee, Shaw was the 27th player taken in 1972. Expected to be the anchor of a rebuilding offensive line in Dallas, Shaw started just six games in three years and was out of football after that.

To put it simply, Jokic is averaging 25.2 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 12.7 assists during the streak. These numbers are even more remarkable, considering Denver has been managing his minutes with the playoffs approaching, especially since he is producing a similar stat line over the full season: 27.8 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.9 assists per game.

Such production is extremely rare, and Jokic’s stretch stands alone in NBA history. He is now also on the verge of another unique milestone.

No player has ever finished a season leading the league in both rebounds and assists, whether in the same year or across separate seasons. Jokic is now just two games away from potentially achieving that feat, while also averaging nearly 28 points per game on 66.9% true shooting, the highest mark among players averaging at least 20 points.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has pushed the franchise back into true contention with rapid growth and steady dominance. Wembanyama has served as a complete game-changer on both ends of the floor. Chet Holmgren powered the Thunder with 30 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in a commanding performance.

San Antonio will now face the No. 7 seed in the NBA playoffs. That team will be determined by the winner of the No. 7 vs. No. 8 seeds in the play-in tournament. As of writing, those two teams are the Phoenix Suns and the Clippers, respectively.

There is still some encouraging news for Spurs fans. Tests showed no structural damage to Wembanyama, and an MRI confirmed the injury is not serious. 

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Wembanyama could return for one of the Spurs’ final two regular-season games. The Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets are up next. 

Playing at least 20 minutes in one of those games would make him eligible under the NBA’s 65-game rule for individual awards.

Finishing second will fuel Wembanyama and the Spurs as they enter the postseason determined to win it all.

Warner is a two-time NFL MVP, but he was also one of the most underrated prospects ahead of the 1994 draft.

He had a standout career with the Northern Iowa Panthers, and many expected him to get picked. However, he went undrafted. Although he was signed by the Green Bay Packers for a tryout, he was eventually released. Among the reasons he went unselected was his perceived lack of elite physical traits. Scouts also believed he had not been exposed to high-level competition.

Warner was forced to take odd jobs, including working as a grocery store clerk. He later returned to his alma mater and worked as an assistant for their football team.

As it turned out, he was one of those quarterbacks who was overlooked and underestimated. All he needed was a chance. He took his talent to the Arena Football League and dazzled fans, earning First-Team All-Arena honors in 1996 and 1997.

Warner tried to revive his NFL dreams by trying out with the Chicago Bears, but another setback followed when he suffered an injury that prevented him from participating in practice.

The now-defunct St. Louis Rams saw potential in him and signed him in 1998. He was initially assigned to the team’s European affiliate, the Amsterdam Admirals, where he impressed coaches. A series of injuries on the Rams roster opened the door for Warner.

He broke records early, and in just his first season as a starting NFL quarterback, he became one of the league’s biggest stars. In his first full season, he won the NFL MVP award and earned it again in 2001.

In 2000, his first season as a starer, he led the team to a Super Bowl victory over the Tennessee Titans and was named Super Bowl MVP.

Warner's career serves as a cautionary tale for teams that tend to overlook talent in exchange for eye test. His life was even turned into a movie titled "American Underdog".

Warner is just one of many overlooked quarterbacks who went on to have Hall of Fame careers. The most notable is Tom Brady, who was the 199th pick in the 2000 draft. Like Warner, he was not viewed as a physical specimen. Today, he is widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time, holding the record for the most Super Bowl wins.

The 2026 NFL draft will take place from April 23 to April 25 in Pittsburgh.

Known for being aggressive early, Holmgren maintained his momentum throughout the game and led all players in points, rebounds, and blocks while recording his 24th double-double of the season.

The All-Star big man finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks in 31 minutes. He shot an efficient 10-of-13 from the field and 3-of-4 from three-point range, good for 76.9% shooting overall. He became the first player in NBA history to post those numbers in under 35 minutes.

It is an encouraging sign for Oklahoma City as Holmgren finds his rhythm ahead of the playoffs, with the team aiming to defend its NBA title. For the season, Holmgren is averaging 16.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game while shooting 55.4% from the field.

“Lightning is the only thing, and what we’d have to do is just wait it out,” White explained. “We’d have to wait the lightning out, and then do the fight.”

White reiterated this stance with colorful emphasis, stating, “Nothing will stop this show going that night, it could f— rain... Lightning is the only thing that will really screw us.”

The UFC is taking unprecedented logistical steps to prepare for the outdoor setting, which will be only the second outdoor event in promotion history.

“We actually start loading into the White House in May,” White revealed. “Normally, we come here [to Miami], start moving in a couple of days before the event. We’ll be moving in over a month ahead.”

“Actually, the fight this Saturday will be the first look people will see what the south lawn is going to look like,” White said. “On the fight on Paramount this weekend. We have a spot for it, and it will actually show the setup of the south lawn.”

The card features two title fights: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje for the lightweight title unification in the main event, and Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title in the co-feature. Additionally, household names like Sean O'Malley will be featured on the main card.

Since then, the Mavs traded Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis. Kyrie Irving also suffered a season-ending injury last year and has missed the entire 2025-26 campaign.

Cooper Flagg has emerged as one of the most exciting young prospects in the NBA, but it is clear that the Mavs are still far from being championship contenders.

Thompson has been a steady force for Dallas this season. He’s played 68 games, averaging 11.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.4 assist and 2.9 three-pointers in 21.9 minutes off the bench.

Thompson, however, is getting another night off. The Mavs announced on Tuesday that they have decided to give the 35-year-old veteran some rest. Thompson has officially been listed as out for Wednesday’s road matchup against the Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers have been dealing with challenging injuries over the past three games. Luka Doncic was forced to depart the Thunder game on Thursday due to a hamstring issue. That was followed by the news about Austin Reaves, who was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left oblique muscle injury.

Both Reaves and Doncic will continue to miss games, as their return to action is still unclear. Jaxson Hayes, who was added to the injury list on Tuesday at the last minute, is also out with left foot soreness.

Without the star backcourt, the Lakers are leaning on James to lead them in the final stretch of games in their schedule. All season long, he played as the team's third option, appearing in 57 games, averaging 20.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists. In the first game without Doncic and Reaves, the four-time champion tried to lead LA past the Mavericks. He finished with 30 points, nine rebounds and 15 assists, but that wasn't enough as rookie forward Cooper Flagg countered with 45 points.

This is the first time that James has played under 65 games since the league implemented the rule in the 2023-24 season. Over the past two seasons, he reached the 70-game mark and was named to the All-NBA teams. This season, however, he is ineligible for any NBA awards.

Smart has been a key contributor in his first season in L.A. The three-time All-Defensive combo guard has played 60 games this year, starting 53 of them. Smart is averaging 9.5 points, 2,8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 triples in 28.8 minutes per contest.

The Lakers got some good news on the Smart front ahead of Thursday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The 31-year-old has been progressing well in his road to recovery, and he is now healthy enough for a status upgrade.

The Lakers announced via the injury report that Smart is officially questionable to play on Thursday. While there is still no guarantee he will return against Golden State, his upgrade to questionable for the first time since his injury is a step in the right direction.

The even bigger news is that James is off the injury report. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer is now expected to suit up against Golden State on Thursday, which will be the first night of a back-to-back set for L.A.

The Lakers enter that matchup with a 50-29 record. As of writing, they are fourth in the Western Conference with three games left in the regular season. They are trailing the third-seeded Denver Nuggets by one game.

Dixie Reserve Feels Like A Southern Love Letter To Masters Week

The first place I landed was Dixie Reserve, and it felt right away like something different.

There is a warmth to these pieces. A Southern texture. A little bit of old porch, old print shop, old golf trip energy. The kind of stuff that does not feel mass-produced or overly polished. It feels lived in, which is part of the charm.

The Return to Augusta tee immediately caught my eye because it has that look of a shirt you have owned for years, even if it is brand new. The Augusta Hand-Inked Tee and Augusta Crew Neck have that same easy feel. Nothing forced. Nothing trying too hard.

And then there is the Azalea Hat, which is probably the kind of thing I would wear way more often than I should. The same goes for the Pennant Print and the Home Team Flag. Those are the kinds of finds that would look awfully good in an office, golf room, or anywhere you want a little April energy without being too loud about it.

VivanTee Golf Has Some Of The Sharpest Accessories I Came Across

VivanTee Golf took me in a different direction, and I mean that as a compliment.

Some Augusta-inspired gear leans heavily into nostalgia. VivanTee feels a little more modern, a little more fashion-forward and a little more intentional in the way it uses that unmistakable green-and-yellow palette. It still gives you the week’s vibe, but with a cleaner edge.

I kept coming back to pieces in the Champions Collection, especially the gloves and accessories. The Champions Glove is a really cool play because it stands out without crossing into gimmick territory. That is not always easy to pull off with themed golf gear.

I also liked the Only Patrons hat, which gives a little nod and wink to the language of the week. And the ball markers were just plain fun. The Caddie marker and Pimento Cheese marker both made me smile. They are the kind of little items golf people appreciate because they feel like inside jokes with good taste.

That is really the sweet spot with this collection. Stylish, but still playful.

BirdieBoss Understands That Masters Week Can Be Reverent And Ridiculous

I say this lovingly: BirdieBoss is for the golfer who reveres Augusta National and still enjoys a good laugh.

That balance is harder to strike than people think. Masters week is steeped in tradition, and yet a lot of us experience it with our own running jokes, our own rituals and our own slightly unhinged levels of fandom. BirdieBoss taps into that side of golf really well.

The Ramen Corner collection is clever from the jump, and the Maneki Gnome ball marker is one of those items that feels destined to be shown off immediately. One Etsy Find Kept It Simple, And That Worked

Not everything has to be deeply thought out or layered with meaning.

Sometimes you just stumble onto a shirt and think, “Yep, that works.”

That was my reaction to this Masters-themed tee from Dounia Bilguir’s Etsy shop. It is a simpler find than some of the others here, but every roundup like this should have something easy and straightforward. Not every golfer wants a statement piece. Some just want a clean, fun nod to the week.

The 28-year-old trains out of Jackson-Wink MMA and earned his UFC contract through Dana White's Contender Series. He has since notched first-round stoppages over Max Gimenis and Denzel Freeman to begin his promotional tenure. This weekend's matchup against the fifth-ranked Blaydes will be a massive step up in competition.

For reasons unknown, however, he chose to provoke a well-established fighter in a smaller weight class.

Hokit and Prochazka Confrontation

The confrontation, posted to social media by Gifdsports on X, showed Hokit waving a toy lightsaber while hurling threats at the former champion, who had just finished his media obligations:

"Man, stay where you are," Prochazka said, remaining seated and calm as the situation unfolded.

Hokit, still in character, responded with a threat that referenced Prochazka's longtime rival Alex Pereira. 

"I'll cut you up with this lightsaber, homie," Hokit said. "And then f—ing stitch your head on Alex Pereira's body, homie." 

Thankfully, the exchange stopped before it ever turned physical, with Prochazka choosing not to feed into the spectacle and Hokit eventually being led away.

It remains unclear what prompted Hokit to confront Prochazka in the first place. The two are not scheduled to fight one another, nor do they compete in the same weight class. Prochazka headlines Saturday's UFC 327 card against Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight title, while Hokit faces Curtis Blaydes earlier on the main card.

Hokit also attempted to engage Ulberg in the hallway, but the title challenger simply ignored the advance. 

"You wanna come up to heavyweight? Yea you don't want none of this," Hokit shouted at Ulberg, who walked past without acknowledgment.

The hotel lobby confrontation was merely the opening act for what followed on stage. Once Hokit took his turn before reporters, he launched into a promo that left the media room in stunned (via MMA Junkie):

 "Listen, I'm going to take out No. 4, and I'm going to saw off his head and put it on Alex Pereira's body, and then I'm going to take No. 3 and stitch it to the anus of No. 2,” he stated. 

He continued, “Then I'm going to take No. 2's head and stick it on the anus of No. 1, creating some type of 'human centipede' where 'The Incredible Hok' will put it on a leash and walk it in his front yard."

The reference to the 2009 horror film "The Human Centipede" was delivered in what sounded like an attempt at a pro-wrestling style promo. Hokit then shifted personas entirely, adopting a stereotypical Mexican accent while making jokes based on Latin American stereotypes.

"What do you call a Mexican who doesn't like protein powder? No weigh, Jose," Hokit quipped, to complete silence from the assembled media.

When asked about his earlier confrontation with Prochazka, Hokit doubled down on the persona rather than offering any explanation.

"I'm just letting everybody know how f—ing down I am, homie," Hokit said. "I'm the downest vato in the world, homie. … I'm f—ing down, dog. I don't care who you are, dog."

He continued, making an apparent case for open-weight competition. "We can make an open division, and we can all fight, dog. Cutting weight's for cowards, homie. Straight up, the down vato doesn't f*cking cut no weight, homie. Straight up, dog."

The media scrum did not last long. Hokit failed to receive a single legitimate question about his actual fight against Curtis Blaydes, and reporters were left with little to work with beyond the bizarre spectacle.

Curtis Blaydes Dismisses Hokit’s Trolling

Blaydes, for his part, has refused to engage with Hokit's antics (via MMA Junkie):

"He just wants the clips," Blaydes told reporters at media day. "He just wants people to be like, 'Look, he's talking sht to Jiri.' Because Jiri is a professional. He's not going to beat the s— out of you in the hotel lobby. Neither will I, because we're going to do it this weekend."

The veteran heavyweight was candid in his assessment of Hokit's approach. 

"He's doing the Colby Covington bit," Blaydes said. "Even, I'll give it to Colby. He's actually good. He's actually a really good wrestler. He got better with the hands. He's actually good. I don't agree with him acting like that either. But at least with him, he has something to stand on." 

Blaydes continued his critique with a blunt evaluation of Hokit's skills. 

"Hokit, he knows he's not going to get paid for his actual skills in the octagon. He's like, 'Oh, OK, I'm going to be a personality. I'm going to just be the guy who, when you interview him, I say random sh—.”

When asked if he would respond to Hokit during their upcoming faceoff, Blaydes said, "The UFC can just take away my microphone. I'm not going to respond. That's what he wants. He wants the views. He wants to get that viral (moment), like (Conor) McGregor.”

Whether the over-the-top approach will translate to success in the Octagon remains an open question, though Saturday's test against Blaydes will provide the most meaningful data point yet.

Warriors guard Moses Moody tore the patellar tendon in his left knee during a game against the Dallas Mavericks on March 23. The injury cut his season tragically short.

On March 27, he traveled to Los Angeles for surgery to repair the tendon. His absence left a significant void in the Warriors’ lineup. Before his injury, the 23-year-old was enjoying a breakout campaign, averaging a career-high 12.1 points per game.

Moody made his first home arena appearance since his injury on Tuesday. During a timeout in the third quarter, the jumbotron panned to the Warriors’ tunnel. It showed the young Warriors guard dressed in street clothes and standing on crutches.

Moody flashed his signature calm smile to the camera and waved to the crowd. The sight drew cheers and a standing ovation from those in attendance. After the game, Kerr reflected on the moment and commented on Moody’s return to the arena.

“It was great,” the Warriors head coach said via 95.7 The Game. “It was really fun to see Moses today. He just got back in town from LA, where he had the surgery. All the guys were excited to see him.”

Moody suffered an unusual injury when his legs gave out during a jump for an uncontested dunk following a steal. He was stretchered off the court, and the diagnosis later revealed a torn patellar tendon.

Kerr has maintained contact with the young guard during his recovery and confirmed that the surgery was successful. He added that Moody is recovering in good spirits and maintaining a positive attitude following the procedure.

The outpouring of support from teammates and fans reflects Moody’s importance to the Warriors. His energy and presence have been valued far beyond his on-court production.

Moody is in the first year of a three-year contract extension with the Warriors. He signed the $39 million deal before the 2025–26 season tipped off.

That is why the 2026 fantasy basketball offseason matters so much already. A few situations are set. A few are still fluid. Either way, fantasy values are moving.

Some of them are moving a lot.

That is the edge this time of year. You do not need final answers yet. You just need to know which NBA players are one team change, one free-agent decision, or one rotation shift away from a very different draft slot in 2026-27.

Biggest Fantasy Value Risers in the 2026 NBA Offseason

Players Poised for Major Upside

Start with Trae Young.

He was traded to Washington, then shut down for the rest of the season after appearing in only five games for the Wizards. Coach Brian Keefe said Young would not return this season, and reporting around the team has pointed toward Young declining his player option and signing a long-term extension with Washington.

That matters because it gives him a clear runway. If Washington is building around him, the usage will be enormous. In fantasy, that usually means points, assists, and threes in bulk. The percentages and turnovers may still come with the package, but the role looks secure.

James Harden belongs here too.

He was dealt to Cleveland at the deadline and immediately stepped into a lead playmaking role. That is enough to tell us the fantasy fit is real. In Cleveland, Harden does not need to score 30 to matter. He just needs the ball. If the Cavaliers keep leaning on him as a primary organizer, the assists stay high and the fantasy floor stays steady.

Then there is Cooper Flagg.

This is less about a transaction and more about a trajectory. Flagg has already shown he is not a normal rookie. As of April 1, he was at 20.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, and his role in Dallas has only become more central. That is the type of player who enters the offseason as a rising fantasy star and exits it with a much higher ADP.

Reed Sheppard and Matas Buzelis fit the same general category.

They are not moving because of trades or free agency. They are moving because their teams are giving them more. Sheppard’s second season has pointed to a larger offensive role in Houston, while Buzelis continues to look like a player Chicago will trust more next year.

Those are the quieter offseason risers. They are not driven by headlines. They are driven by role growth. That is often just as important.

Biggest Fantasy Value Fallers in the 2026 NBA Offseason

Players at Risk of Significant Drops

LA Lakers guard Austin Reaves is the easiest example.

This is not about talent. He is having a career year, averaging 23.3 points and 5.5 assists per game (as of early April). The issue is context. He is also dealing with a Grade 2 oblique strain that will keep him out four to six weeks, and the Lakers are built around Luka Doncic first.

If LeBron James returns, Reaves slides even further down the offensive hierarchy. That does not make him a bad player. It just makes him easier to overrate in fantasy if you ignore the role.

LeBron is a faller for a different reason.

He remains productive. He set the all-time win mark in early April and was still leading the Lakers in major moments. But he is also entering another free-agent summer at age 41. Whether he returns to Los Angeles or explores a reunion with Cleveland, the fantasy concerns are obvious.

Age, maintenance, and missed games are now part of the profile. That pushes him down unless he comes at a real discount.

Zach LaVine belongs in this section, too, even though the talent is still there.

He underwent season-ending hand surgery in February. He was already on a new team after Sacramento acquired him from Chicago in the De’Aaron Fox deal. Add in the continued expectation that the Kings will explore moving him again, and you get a fantasy valuation problem.

A healthy LaVine in the right spot can still score 25 on a given night. A player rehabbing, changing teams, and adjusting to another role is harder to price. That uncertainty usually drags the value down before it ever creates a buying opportunity.

Anthony Davis also fits.

He was acquired by Washington at the deadline and never got back on the floor because of ligament damage in his right hand. It is the same story fantasy managers know too well: Per-game excellence. Uncertain availability.

That profile can still work, but it forces a different draft strategy than it used to.

Immediate Offseason Moves and Keeper Decisions

The best way to approach this is to separate role volatility from talent.

Young is volatile in a good way. Washington is giving him the keys. That creates fantasy upside. Harden is volatile in a manageable way. The age is there, but the role in Cleveland still points to dependable assists and solid counting stats. Flagg is no longer a speculative dynasty piece. He is becoming a real redraft priority.

On the other side, Reaves is the kind of player you draft carefully, not emotionally. LaVine is the kind of player you monitor, not blindly trust. LeBron and Davis are still excellent. They are just no longer players you build around without a strong contingency plan.

That is where keeper decisions become easier. In dynasty, you can justify moving off aging stars a year early if the market still values the name. In redraft, you simply let someone else pay for the old ceiling.

If LeBron returns to the Lakers, Reaves has one ceiling. If LeBron leaves, Reaves has another. That is how quickly values can move in the offseason.

The younger players are just as important. Flagg, Sheppard, and Buzelis may not dominate headlines in July the way older stars do, but their values can still rise as teams commit more to them. Those are the players who often look obvious in hindsight.

Haliburton tore his right Achilles tendon during the game. He underwent surgery the following day. Since then, the two-time All-Star has been working hard behind the scenes to get himself back in game shape.

Haliburton took a significant step toward this direction on Wednesday.

It was a heartbreaking end to Haliburton’s incredible campaign. He led the Pacers all the way to the NBA Finals last season, marking the franchise’s first time back in the big dance since 2000.

Haliburton played 73 games in the regular season, averaging 18.6 points on 47.3% shooting, 3.5 rebounds, 9.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.0 triples in 33.6 minutes per contest. He played 23 more games in the NBA playoffs. By the end, his Achilles gave out.

The good news for Haliburton is that he is closing in on his long-anticipated comeback. The 6-foot-5 guard announced on Wednesday that he took part in his first 5-on-5 scrimmage since June.

There is still no firm timetable on Haliburton’s return, but there’s no denying that this is a major milestone in his recovery. Top Buy-Low Candidates in 2026 Fantasy Baseball

Francisco Lindor, SS, New York Mets. This one kind of breaks my rule above as someone who drafted Lindor probably should have expected a slow start with the hamate injury in the Spring. However, it has been really bad. Lindor is hitting under .150 without a single home run or RBI. We have history of players with hamate injuries starting off slow and then getting back on track within a fairly short period of time after returning to action, so it can’t hurt to check in with the Lindor owner to gauge their level of panic.

Jac Caglianone, OF, Kansas City Royals. This guy’s stock shot up in the preseason with his equally impressive World Baseball Classic and Spring Training stats. Clearly, Caglianone left his power in the past as he hasn’t driven in a single run yet and has only scored three runs on the bases this season. The guy hit 27 home runs and drove in 90 runs last season between the Majors and Minors, so the talent is clearly there. Did his draft stock rise farther than it should have? Perhaps. Does the team with him on his roster start to wonder if maybe they made the wrong call? This kid has a world of talent, if you could steal him cheap in a trade right now, absolutely pull the trigger.

Austin Riley, 3B, Atlanta Braves. The good news on Riley is that he is healthy through the first couple weeks of the season. The bad news is that his production has been minimal to this point as he has just two RBI and is under the Mendoza line. There definitely could be some early trepidation with Riley given the past two seasons his output has not been near what was expected. However, I feel like most of that disappointment can be linked to core and hand injuries over the past couple of seasons. Those are both maladies that are easy to linger and sap power. However, as stated above, Riley is just off to a slow start, and he should hit his stride soon. Be sure to have him on your team when that happens.

Josh Naylor, 1B, Seattle Mariners. I will admit that this one scares me a little. Coming into this year, Naylor wasn’t a guy that I was aggressively targeting even after his very successful past two seasons. He thrived for the Mariners, and the fan base, and fantasy players were excited for his 2026 year but man he has been a total flop. Even if I am not completely excited about him, there is no way he doesn’t improve from his current .125 batting average with no home runs or steals.

Top Sell-High Candidates in 2026 Fantasy Baseball

Yordan Alvarez, OF/DH, Houston Astros. This one is a bit risky because it really comes down to health. Alvarez is absolutely punishing baseballs right now with a .350 average with four home runs and 10 RBI in his first ten games. This is what he is capable of for the entire season. He has MVP-type potential. He has just missed good chunks of time in two of the last three seasons. If you are looking to sell him high, you really should get multiple pieces back because if he does stay healthy he should have an incredible year. I have a hard time stomaching his level of risk and would try to cash out my chips now.

Andy Pages, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers. He had a fine sophomore campaign with 27 home runs but still didn’t quite have the juice those stats might deserve coming into this 2026 draft season. He has been on fire of late with six multi-hit games in his last seven and three home runs and 12 RBI in his first ten contests. While Pages could come close to duplicating his statistics this season, clearly he has everyone’s attention right now. He had some trouble staying healthy his rookie season, and I don’t know that I think he is going to approach 30 home runs. Now is the time to see if you have a Dodgers fan or perhaps someone who is into fast starts who might overpay for Pages.

Giancarlo Stanton, OF, New York Yankees. He only has one home run so far, but Stanton is also on fire with an average near .400 and six RBI. However, Stanton hasn’t played 115 games since 2021, and although he is averaging close to 25 home runs per season, I would say right now is the best time to try to gauge some interest. He is 36 years old and with Stanton these injuries aren’t usually short term. He is very productive when he is on the field, but with this kind of hot start I would definitely shop him around and see if you can find someone who remembers the glory days and thinks 2026 could be a repeat.

Andres Gimenez, SS, Toronto Blue Jays. This one kind of breaks my rule against someone who really might be interested in him, but Gimenez at least plays a tough position and has had some good years in the past it has just been a few years since one has come around. Injuries certainly came into play last year and he showed 15/30 capabilities in the past. He does not hit in a very advantageous part of the Blue Jays lineup, and I am not sure that this production can continue. He won’t be a centerpiece of any trade you might make, but adding him to a deal could help you entice a leaguemate to part with a better player using Gimenez as a sweetener to the pot.
